    [Denied] Add the quote button to locked threads.
    It has always been an annoyance that you can't quote stuff from locked threads and you have constructed your own custom quote if you choose to attempt to quote one of these threads, it would be nice if quote button was added to them so we can actually quote stuff from these threads.

    Support. It would be really useful for section rule threads as you could just quote a certain part instead of providing someone with the link to the thread and just hoping they find the part they were looking for.

    Support. Some locked threads (official Sythe rules for example) contain very useful posts that can not be quoted now, so it would be nice to see this change implemented.

    Fwiw the highlight-to-quote functionality works for me but not in all forums. Like the report section archive doesn't work for some reason, but all other forums I tried just now did.

    Definitely support if this is something simple, but I'd venture to guess this requires a bit more work, since when you quote it generally would be adding it to a post reply, but you can't reply on those threads.
    That said, if it's simple to do, 100% support.

    I think the feature you’re thinking of is “reply” and not “quote”

    When you quote something it adds it a queue which you can then reply to any thread (that isnt locked) with the quote by clicking the “insert quote” button

    I was almost certain there was a guide laying around about how this was possible to do with locked threads, but it did require some code editing.

    Regardless I'll support, aslong as it doesn't bring in any bugs where people abuse this to post to locked threads or whatever.
