[DENIED] Possibly an incentive for posting and Poke prizeboxes?

I've been thinking and theres no real incentive for posting other than the ones you get from posting in specific forums and the user titles. I believe there should be an incentive for reaching 1000 posts, 2000 posts, 5000 posts, 10000 posts, 15000 posts and so on. Frequent users on Sythe may find reaching certain post counts an achievement while newer members really won't see a need to. I believe possibly rewarding users with Prizeboxes or even poke prizeboxes would be a good idea. I feel as if Poke Prizeboxes aren't being used as often and believe they have a ton of potential for the forum. I myself only really try in CDT events when I see a Poke Prizebox is involved. Though everyone might not agree on my suggestion for post incentives maybe we can all come up with a way to really maximize the use of these poke prizeboxes and use them to their full potential because honestly I love em.

 

You get sythe gold from posting which currently can be sold to other people and will have uses in the future.

 

Forgot about Sythe gold but maybe we can even use that towards the Pokemon Prizeboxes/Minis too! Also I doubt new users really care for Sythe gold atm anyways.

 

Additionally there has been multipule suggestions threads in the past for this kind of thing. Stuff like "everytime you post you have x chance of receiving a prizebox" and others of the sort. I cant link it atm because im on mobile but they are there.

 

Also, one of the incentives to having a high post count is that you are seen as a committed member and are therefore more likely to:

• Be trusted
• Get moderator status
• Get other privileges and respect

Even though I am the perfect user, because my post-count is low, I may not be as trusted as, say, @GOAT is.

There are benefits, lots of them.

 

Just because you have high post count doesn't mean you're trusted though. Yeah you may be a committed member but what makes the new members want to really be committed other than selling/buying whatever they need? I'm making this suggestion to bring in a lot more active members to not only the marketplace but to other parts of the forums as well.

 

I'd argue that there is a huge correlation in having a high post count and being trusted. I'm a new member so take it from me - I'd much rather purchase something from a member who has 10,000 posts, than from a member with 100. Why? Because the member who has 10,000 posts has had plenty of opportunity to scam somebody. Why scam somebody in the first place when you have spent years accumulating that kind of post count? It's easy to scam somebody if you have a post count of 100, because you're only losing a couple of days of account time, and gaining something of greater value in return.

However I see your point with regards to bringing in newer members whom may not be as interested in the marketplace (of whom are few and far between).

Pretty sure, and I do hope that we will be able to buy Prizebokes in a near future judging by what Tyler just said. If that's the case, well the suggestion of receiving a Prizebox or a Pokemon Prizebox at every x milestone isn't really needed although it's a nice idea.

I believe being able to buy Prizeboxes with Sythe gold is even a better idea than simply handing them after reaching a certain milestone as I think it's safe to say that it will be harder for the community to get their hands on one, therefore the boxes will keep their rarity.

That's very true. I, myself, recently got into miniranks. I'm not even the biggest pokemon fan, yet @Champ got me for a few 07 mills. If I'm ready to pay for pokemon miniranks, I can't imagine what a diehard fan would do for one. I'm not sure if there's something in the works, but we should definitely use their potential in a smart way.

 

Well with them being really hard to get via Sythe gold they will still be hard to get with post count as well. 5k post count is no easy task. (Without spamming!)

 

Support, though it may encourage users to farm posts more. Also it might affect the minirank market prices. Though it's easier to implement than getting miniranks through Sythe Gold I believe - which will probably take years till that's added.

 

I was thinking the same about post farming however I'm sure the mods could stop that from happening. Pretty easy to catch a spam post.

That would require Sythe to actually read the poll that CDT bitched about nobody making that I made which have 50+ votes on them and haven't even received a staff response regarding what's going on with it.

It's not about business though, its about bringing in new members. I feel like anything involving pokemon has potential and could attract new people. Everyone loves pokemon. You have one in your avatar.

Dont really think another incentive for posting is necessary. The way it currently is is good enough.

 

No support, many users just use bump bots to boost their post count.

Also it would devalue pokeboxes.
