• Detailed description of the events that took place and why you think we should forgive you: Essentially i was not trying to hurt sythe in any way. I was trying to bring clarity to the issues at hand. It was not my intent to harm the site/users/future users. After I was banned I did not release any info I had on site that could of harmed it. I am back for the bug tracker function and to reconnect with the community. The only reason I "tested the servers" was because I knew there were vulns and I was persistent about uncovering them not for my personal gain but to be fixed. But since that time has passed I have graduated university grown in maturity a few years and have a different outlook on things now days. I am hoping that I will be granted a pardon for the things that happened because, just don't let this one incident define my sythe repuatation because I was a fairly trusted member of the community at the time with links to almost everyone.

You stated your intent wasn't to harm the site but instead you wanted to highlight the "issues at hand". You also stated it wasn't for personal gain but it was a part of you being persistent about uncovering areas which could be exploited. Why didn't you speak to an Admin about this?

I do believe I spoke to a admin but didn't get very far (sythe if i'm not mistaken). I made loverofcats which I now know I shouldn't have done my bad but never posted on account. Just to clear up the no personal gain part, after I was banned I stopped my vuln testing on site and moved on about my merry way. The only real reason I am pardoning for my unban is to use the bug tracker function that is now available and wasn't at my time of being here. I didn't use my blackhat knowledge to harm the site or hurt any of it's users. The only reason I mention that, is because most users get banned for scamming or causing other users harm in some way which I did not do. Yes I do believe issues could of been handled better on my end and others ends. But it is what it is, just back to help out community and contribute once again.

The video was made by me yes, after attempting to contact staff for over a week about the vulns. Which I was told couldn't happen and there were no vulns. So yes I posted a private video for proof of this. This is where the whole things could of been handled better part comes in. Yes I could of persisted to contact staff until someone finally listened, but I was a little rebellious and had a fuck it attitude at the time. I mean honestly the whole reason I'm trying to come back is to use the bug tracker program, contribute to the community and be back in the mix of things again. I'm very happy your taking the time to look at this appeal yourself sythe since this should of been handled between me and you a long time ago, but no harsh feelings. I've done a lot of growing up since the time of my ban and the whole grey hat incident that happened. I mean before all this I was a donator, SVU, free mm, and pretty well known in the community. I'm just hoping I will get that fair shot to come back into the community that I have truly missed for some time.

 

@Sythe How do you feel about all this? I think the decision should really be up to you since it's in regards to the security of the site.

Leaving this open for Cranky's response to my previous question. Also, Cranky do you want to proceed with a full pardon or is the DNT enough for you?

 

I am currently not involved in any blackhat activities no, but I am involved in greyhat/whitehat at the moment since this is my job. I will take a DNT for now until I can prove what I came here to do then might appeal for a full pardon later on. Also need help getting back into my account xp.

 

I'm hoping I can get a TWC rank since there was no scams committed and so I can PM others users/admins when I do find something wrong with the system or through bug tracker but that is all up to you guys if you want to do a DNT or a TWC just hoping for the TWC since there was no scams committed in my offence and had a good track record for community feedback and MM'ing. Just really don't want to be looked at as a scammer honestly with a DNT.

Hey mate it's been a cold minute since we've spoken. I haven't been on site since unban much because of work, I'm about to have 2 weeks of off time. I was wondering since my ban was not related to scamming someone is there a chance you would support of twc until I can prove that I'm not here to cause any harm. I had vouches, verified user, donator, and was a mm. The only time i could of caused harm to the site was with the videos but they were used to show the issues at hand not to harm. Just not wanting to be looked at as a scammer my intentions were good but my actions were blinded by what I thought was right at the time, but that also came with the age and "can do fuck you" attitude i used to have which I have grown out of now. But just lemme know your thoughts on this if you will mate would be highly appreciated.
