It's not a matter of possible, because it's going to happen in 2022. There already funded enough and there picking the people out as we speak.

I don't know how there going to continue living there but there has to be a system set in place for em.

Just like Europeans thought America was a new world, we'll think mars as the same and it took about a century to develop a country and how long will it take to develop a planet? I say no, prefer earth

Sure I'd do it. Being an astronaut was my dream job before I realized it was pretty unrealistic especially after having my ankle and knee on the same leg broken. Would be nearly impossible to deal with low gravity on my bones for months at a time and then return to full gravity.

People are going to be living on Mars at a little settlement. But one they are put there they cannot return to earth just in case they bring back something

Living in space is just unrealistic. There've been people saying they're going to live on Mars for decades but I don't see it happening. Although Richard Branson seems to think Virgin Galactic will have hotels in space at some point in his lifetime.. and spaceships that can do a Britain > Australia trip in 3.5 hours.

Space is being underestimated. Think of the care it takes specially trained astronauts to not drift, to not expose themselves to the elements (way, way below freezing with no oxygen).. there isn't even sound in space. The amount of casualties and billions of pounds that'd need to be invested in making such a thing possible is absurd and not realistic at all. Most of all, a waste. We can't even look after our own planet without tiring it of resources and ruining the ozone layer so why should we feel entitled to move to other planets and repeat that without first learning how to take care of our own planet that is fully inhabitable & special in terms of sustaining our life with no effort needed.

I'm not sure I could do it sure the views would be mind-blowing but the lack of things to do would be really dull if there was some sort of infrastructure and some communication with earth it would be alright.
