Consolidated Glitch/Forum Error Thread

The error with the donation center is likely due to mysql failure which is due to server load, or a coding forsight in which if you donate a specific amount say $50 exactly and matt has something for > and < $50 it would return you as nothing. I don't think he has it like that but potentially could if people who donate over and under an amount get their ranks but people on a certain amount don't then it would be a symptom of that problem.

Secondly internal server errors are usually due to mysql server overload, nothing can really be done about it other than upgrade ram on that server which a user can't simply fix.

Thirdly the quick reply and edit buttons are more mysql intensive than go advanced replies so in times of server stress they are probably shut off which would give you the inability to post and the continuous rotation circle after hitting edit.

Did post thread about it in support as well.

 

I removed my rank couple days ago, today I tried to select rank and appeared as if "Rank Saved!", but I didn't get my rank back.

 

If I click a link in someones signature it comes up with the page sythe is under maintenance

 

It's been like that for over a week. I pm'd Matthew about it yesterday I think.

 

I've notified Matthew and Sythe about the donation ranks, but being the time of year it is, I'm willing to bet it's safe to say he's got other priorities currently. Be patient please and sorry for the delay.

 

When I view threads sometimes the screen goes white but you can still see the words and on the top left corner it says error. Just trying to figure out if it is on my end or the websites end.

Whenever I google a scam report/previous dispute etc, always says Sythe is offline for maintenance, however, it's not.

That's due to the URL changing from "Report-Scammer" to "Report-Scammer-Archive"

Blame the SEO for that.

So adding 'archive' after 'scammer', should fix any scam report broken links?

Can't open Sythe on Chrome for some reason. Firefox works

 

This isn't a glitch... vBulletin probably does your total private messages divided by total allowed messages and then rounds up, giving you 100% when really you have 99.X%.

 

Sometimes I'm not getting email notifications for replies to my threads or for PM's but at other times they will successfully come through.
