Community Wilderness Event

I'm curious how many Sythe users would be interested in participating in a Runescape P2P cluster fight. I was considering putting up a cash prize, and maybe streaming the event on some social platforms.

If you’re interested, post your pking experience so I know what to expect.

Do it on the sythe rsps for publicity and fairness IMO, along with no chance of getting banned.

I wonder if the CDT team leaders @BlackBlasses @Artur would be up for facilitating this event with your sponsorship?

 

It would be hosted on Old School Runescape to allow more participation

It will take place in deep wilderness, spanning east-west from members gate, to new gate (near 50 ports), with GDZ likely being the main fight area. Specific time, date, and world will be announced well in advance.

The event would run for a set period of time, likely 60-90 minutes. It will be expected that someone will return after death. It will be FFA, every team for themselves. Participating or using Sythe doesn't mean you're a Runescape rule breaker. Identifying yourself ingame is a personal choice.

 

Thing with that is what if people just afk bank and show up the last 10 minutes to claim the prize.

 

You could require prize winners to have a recording of the event, to negate efforts of foul play.
Would sure be difficult to choreograph though.

I've been in touch with the clanning community for the past 10 years. Most clans/teams are currently starved for action - unless they're willing to commit to the SDMM/tournament grind. I believe I attended the last planned event of this sort, and it was over 5 years ago. Your concern can also be mitigated depending on the criteria for the cash prize.

 

Well, I doubt team Sythe and their clan of odds stakers will put up much of a fight to big teams anyways haha.

You could make the ffa in the glory charging area where you can disqualify anyone who enters after a certain time (someone records at the entrance). Any area with only 1 entrance would be a good substitute as well.

 

people can still avoid this by hopping worlds but ye, its all for fun i suppose. Im personally interested for fun, but the cash prize might actually start some drama

 

We've considered pretty much every aspect of the event. I don't think @Bogla can reply to this without spoiling some planned surprises

 

I appreciate you guys trying to figure out how to best organize the event, but let's leave that discussion for later . For the moment, we'd like to just get an idea of who might be interested in the general idea of this sort of event.
