The dragon scimitar update was also addressing this issue so this is definitely foreshadowing that more changes like these are to come.
Climbing boots will now protect over a lot of other items as well because of it's high alch value. Oh wow, nice research you did there Jagex.

Proof. And he isn't lying, you guys are so immature. Whoever would collect over 2K? Even with bots that takes a while and the bot is used to buy them and sell them again at G/E, so even if someone botted it for a year he wouldn't have huge amounts.

I have personally seen 7k climbing boots in trade screen, in game. Just because an authority figure tells you something, doesn't mean it is true.
EDIT: also, do you honestly think the mods looked through every account and would actually know the max amount of boots a player has? no.
I suggest investing in something such as iron or coal, something that is always in demand and unrelated to PK. Since the boots are all being alched and sold, the amount of them is decreasing DRAMATICALLY and the price of them will raise aswell. I would possibly suggest investing in sharks or monkfish, as well as super sets.
Actually, just invest in anything. Everything is going to rise, just like everything rose during the PvP Statue update.
It's called statistics - they wont log into account after account lmfao - there should be a database of info they can just refference easily duh.

There wont be a rollback as said mod mark,but there WILL be a change to the ge price of boots, as there was a after-update change to torso after tons of rants.
