This. TBh. Coulda have made current boots for questing and no str bonus, then came out with new ones for 75k and bonus, would haveb kept everything the same. I bet that didn't even occur to them.

I have personally seen 7k climbing boots in trade screen, in game. Just because an authority figure tells you something, doesn't mean it is true.

EDIT: also, do you honestly think the mods looked through every account and would actually know the max amount of boots a player has? no.

 

I suggest investing in something such as iron or coal, something that is always in demand and unrelated to PK. Since the boots are all being alched and sold, the amount of them is decreasing DRAMATICALLY and the price of them will raise aswell. I would possibly suggest investing in sharks or monkfish, as well as super sets.

 

Actually, just invest in anything. Everything is going to rise, just like everything rose during the PvP Statue update.

There wont be a rollback as said mod mark,but there WILL be a change to the ge price of boots, as there was a after-update change to torso after tons of rants.
