Good place to level range w/ Charms.

I havn't leveled a new pure in a while, where is a good place for me to level my new pure with charms? im 50 range atm, looking to get 70.

here is the gear i will be using+ my bank funds if needed to cannon, i wont be chinning atm!

I have been at rock crabs but hati just keeps coming.

I will not being doing the following
-Bandits
-fightcaves
-any sort of mummies/skeletons
rock crabs


I will prob be using iron arrows, and then change over to knives, i also have no quests done, so the kings questing place is out of the question, a safespot would be nice also, Rember i want charms!

 

I know that dags are good for gold charms if you get 40 prayer for prot range

 

Get 43 pray and canon greaters in forinthy dungeon while praying melee. 150 crims p/h, including banking time and about 800 kills p/h excluding banking time. Realistically, 100k ranged exp p/h is possible with 130-140 crims p/h. Always have RoL on and tele whenever you see a clan or a solo pker.

if you have 85 combat, im 78+7, do cavecrawlers, with a cannon theyre the best for effigies too, alot of charms on the way, i got 95-96 range n got over 700 charms n 6 effigies.

EDIT: Scratch Dust Devils. They are excellent charm droppers, but your picture hadn't loaded for me before I posted so I was banking on a chance you might have higher slayer.

Other than that, I don't really know... Maybe fire giants? Fire giants are easy to kill, can be safespotted if you have done the Waterfall quest, are a classic ranged training spot, and also drop gold charms nearly 80-90% of kills. When I was 1 summoning on my current character, I trained a few strength levels at Fire giants and ended up with 4000-5000 gold charms, which was great for beginning to level summ.

Or, if you have some cash (which judging by your picture, it looks like you do), do the easy ass Dwarf Cannon quest and buy a cannon and a good chunk of cannonballs, and get prayer to 43 and you will be set for a whole new multitude of spots including monsterous cave crawlers, the multi-area hellhounds in taverly dungeon (excellent charms here, almost 100% rate), or like somebody mentioned above, the GD's in Forinthry dungeon if you want an assload of crimson charms and rune full helms.

 

These are quite good. In the Taverley Dungeon, you can pop up a cannon and get some pretty serious charms and ranged EXP.

IF you want a long-term spot, I suggest moving somewhere else. These two are some pretty great spots for using ranged and charms for even more exp:

You can also set up a cannon in the Pillnivineach Dungeon where the Aberrant Spectres are. They tend to drop about 8-10 blues/hr and some decent greens. Along these lines, I've heard people using a cannon against the Wallasalki (spelling?) in the dungeon with the dagannoth kings. The former requires one very easy quest and 85 combat, so you'd probably need to get your pure near-maxed in order to use it. However, it has great herb and seed drops and a very fast (less than 60 seconds) banking time. If you bring a BoB, you can make back the price of cannonballs just from the herb drops. Wallasalki, on the other hand, have no real requirements other than you need protect from magic. Their drops are more lackluster, but you can sell off their skeleton pieces and the gloves to still make back most of your investment into cannonballs.

Hellhounds are great, so are greater/ black demons. You could also safespot black dragons.

 

If you get 43 prayer greater demons are great with a cannon.

I did Fire Giants

 

I've been thinking, and Rubberslol's method of Cave Crawlers deserves a lot of merit in addition to what I already suggested. Their charm drop-rate is fine (you will end up picking up enough charms for ~30-40k exp/hr in Summoning after level 85+), but the major benefit here is the extremely target-rich environment. Your cannon will almost always have at least 4-5 targets, meaning the ranged EXP is 150k or more an hour. (Also, cannons are a little more cost-effective than chinchompas, so you get less exp/hr than using chins but you're also saving money.) The Effigy drops are, of course, the big reason to go. If you spend the Dragonkin Lamps on Summoning, the already 40k exp/hr you get from charms gets an additional 30-45k exp/hr from the lamp reward--not to mention you can get an additional 10-25k exp from opening the Effigies when your summoning is higher.

Then black demons are probably your best bet.

 

Moss giants near fishing guild and fire giants in the waterfall dungeon can be caoned and safe spotted. You get a good amount of golds p/h too.

 

Fire giants, you can safespot them in the waterfall quest dungeon. Great charms and great xp.

Cannon daggonaths/Slayer easy ranged XP & Slayer levels will be achieved & potential good drops to cover the costs
