Changes to pardon system for DNT's

I was planning on leaving this suggestion till after my DNT was removed but why not suggest it now I am already suggesting important and the fact I seen a user or two comments that they would like to see it done this way instead (here DNT Rank is currently a joke.).

Currently as a DNT to get your DNT rank removed you must go through the pardon system. I would like to see this changed and change it to any DNT who pays the debts can get there DNT removed as long as their initial offense was longer than 2 years ago.

How will this benefit the community?
    • This will get more DNT's to pay their debts back, Currently, their issue's with some DNT paying their debts back.
    • DNT is meant to be the first step into joining the community again, why not make it the real first step
    • It would save time for staff dealing with pardon's.
    • If there willing to pay their debts back they either are changed individual or have become a good person it's quite clear due to how easy it is to ban evade.
In my opinion, this system would work better than the current system.

Now because I don't want people to say I'm biased I will I give the disadvantages.

    • Some user may pay their debts back with hopes of scamming higher amounts.
This is quite literally the only disadvantage to it if a user types another one I will add it.

I think that a good addition to this would be that a DNT has to payback a certain amount extra to a scam victim. DNT's made a choice most of the time to scam people and I think part of their reacquaintance to the community should be paying back a different scam victim.

IMO i'd be fine with this, 2 years is long enough theres a good chance that they would pardoned for any offences anyway but sometimes certain DNT are disliked among staff which can make pardoning difficult.

I'd be fine letting DNT's return w/o a pardon provided they pay their debts imo.

Further more I was thinking perhaps they have to donate 10% of their owed debt to the community repayment thread? Sort of like them purchasing a "fast pass" to avoid the pardon process and the money donated shows their trying to help other victims of other scammers.

Regardless if the above bit is implemented I support.

i'd have to disagree with this bit. A user can scam when they need the money potentially in some cases causing other users financial problems, then when it suits them they can repay and return?

I think there still needs to be some element of repent. Fair enough 2 years is a long time to show that, but if they're an asshole for two years and don't really care too much about what they previously did, just waiting for the timer to run out so the DNT can be removed?

Just doesn't seem to sit right with me really.

No support the amount of effort people put into their pardon application says a lot about them. Obvious bias when the ops a dnt lol.

If you paid your debt in full, you're most likely to be pardoned. The process should remain as is. All cases are not the same and shouldn't be processed as such.

I'm going to say no support as well. People should be thankful DNT even exists.

I wouldn't see this ever getting past staff lol, if you pay back what you owe and it was over 2 years ago the community has no idea who you are anymore, you could be a new nice guy, or like you said a scammer hoping to get more back than you put in, having a pardon system in general is so the staff can look at what you find you did wrong, or in dnt's place asking for it possibly, and seeing whether or not you seem like a valid member of the community, or the person who got the dnt or report or ban was in the first place, no support.
