Change the rules for cheating in CDT events

Current rules:

Anyone found cheating in/manipulating competitions or other such events will be punished: 1st Offense - One-month competition ban
2nd Offense - Two-month competition ban
3rd Offense - Perm Ban from competitions All of these will include an automatic disqualification from the competition and the user will be given the "BANNED FROM COMPETITIONS" user title

These rules are followed in most case's unless it extreme circumstances (example user win a prize by cheating or CDT does a vote on it)

I would like this rule to be changed regarding events that carry prizes, If an event carries a prize and what user has done gives them a beneficial advantage in the event and they obtain the prize from the event, the user should be banned for scamming.

This may seem stupid to the necked eye but in this situation, the person would be scamming the community/person who missed out on prize because the person cheated to obtain one, so it should fall under scamming.

If a person caught attempting to cheat it should maybe fall under attempting to scam. but I'll leave that up to you guys.

CDT did a vote on your one which I explained to you in the past. in the post above I explained that the CDT team can overturn the rule and increase the punishment if the majority of the team agrees. Which at the time and now the administration team of Sythe supports the decision we made at the time.

Pretty sure the vote was because you guys knew I had no intent to scam CDT out of $30. I also offered to pay it back MANY times before you even brought it up to CDT that I should be banned.

So my offense should fall under the 1 month category, no?

This is a cheating forum.

People cheat in game(s) for monetary gain. While it would maybe morally make sense to ban people, in the end all they're doing is playing some stupid poorly organized game/event to make money. If the CDT or whatever team running a competition can't properly enforce cheating then that's on them.

It's already pretty ridiculous that there's even "rules" for cheating in competitions.

Sure, maybe ask that they have to give back the prize and then do something if they don't but it's just funny how there's a rule where they have to be branded as a cheater on a cheating site and have that usertitle if they cheat right now. I never knew that was a thing. Like why would anyone have to publicly know that the person is banned from competitions?

Edit: Just to clarify the CDT should be able to obviously bar people from participating however they want, it just shouldn't dive into being against Sythe site-wide rules.

If someone is caught after they have gotten a prize, just force them to return the prize and give them a TWC. If they cant/dont return it, DNT them

@Naughty does good work on CDT now even after cheating then. A ban is overboard IMO and people can easily learn from their simple mistake. Cheating on an event is a different lane than scamming someone. TWC or perm ban from events, but not from the site. The poll reflects this itself.
