buy or no?

Meh. Completely forgot about those external enclosures. I stand corrected.

 

Those external GPU's aren't exactly wallet friendly. Need a laptop with a CPU that won't bottleneck you GPU, buy the adapter, buy the gpu, and buy a power supply for the card(unless it can run on 12v). Kind of takes away the portability perk of a laptop lol.

 

Yeah that's the problem, the 12v port can provide up to 100watt. Its good for gaming at certain place (room desk or something) and then just removing it and using the laptop for other purposes.
But yeah if you're a hard game you're better off with a built in GPU.
And you shouldn't speed too much on it if your cpu isn't powerful enough, that way you'll save $$ and won't have a bottleneck.

Honestly its just for old laptops if you're buying new one just get a laptop with a good GPU.

Idk why you want to rent though, seems like a huge waste of cash.

 

This, and don't get a laptop with touchscreen you would be wasting your money on something that you don't even need.

 

Touch screen is just a perk to me don't mind it.

And I know they want 1000 for the beats laptop when I see it on Amazon for 599

they just double their money. I am just gonna buy it on Amazon instead sense I seen they doubled it by 500 more dollars and plus I like the sound system it has on the beats laptop.

 

Those specs are not good for $450.00

I'm very damn sure you can find something better or even less. i5 2410m is based on a Sandy Bridge architecture.
