On this topic I find it fully acceptable to burn the quran, as it is not against any us law

 

There's always a reason. Your reasoning is just that it wasn't a "good" reason, that is, in your mind. Plus, it's too controversial. Usually the pacifists say it's only for oil, and BAD USA! Like honestly, we're a big country, even if it WAS for oil people just need to get over it. We're going to pick a fight with someone eventually. If anything, blame scarcity.

The American flag is a man made symbol, and hence is a symbol of America.

Muslims believe that the Qur'an is the DIRECT unadultered word of Allah, which is why you will not find a Qur'an in english or any other language. Hence burning a Qur'an is a more profound, insulting gesture to a Muslim than burning an American flag is to an American.

The two are apples and oranges.

The Qu'ran is not a symbol, it is essentially the Islamic faith. A more suitable comparison would be to burn an American flag, then burn an Islamic nation's flag. Those would be two insults similar in magnitude. The Qur'an cannot even be compared to the bible. The bible is MAN's account of those events. The Qur'an is the DIRECT unadultered word of Allah (<- incase you havn't guessed I can't stress that point enough)

Burning the American flag is insulting our pride in our country.
Burning the Qu'ran is like spitting at them for believing in their religion.

Since you only mentioned American deaths, I'll only mention American kills: a lot fucking more per year than those caused by extremists. Yes, extremists, not Muslims, who are NORMAL people practicing their incorrect, but peaceful, beliefs.

First of all, we can't control what other people are going to do. Either they are going to do something or they aren't but regardless, there's nothing you're going to do to stop them. It's not okay for other countries to burn our flag, but because us Americans lack any patriotism whatsoever it doesn't bother us.

On the other hand, the Muslims hold the Qu'ran above all other religious works. We're dealing with crazy desert people who are willing to kill themselves for the sake of martyrdom based on their teachings from a book.

The priest that wanted to burn qu'rans on the 10th year anniversary of the 9/11-attack (which is next year, not this year.. he's a math genius.) was just like them, extremist & idiot.

The qu'ran doesnt preach about killing the infidels or undermine the women or any shit like that. In matter of fact, it says in the qu'ran that no-one may judge someone else based on his/her religion.. Only god can.
