Knockouts have shown us even the "little" guys have a chance. None of the favorites got out easily. Many were on the verge of elimination, or at least heavily threatened. Going to be an absolute bananas final 8, whomever it is.

I thought for sure that Argentina would have an easy time beating Switzerland, but it had to go to the last few minutes of the extra periods. These knockout matches have all proven to be very, very exciting. I felt quite bad for Switzerland when they missed that header during the last minute by hitting the post, it would have been exciting to watch some penalty kicks.

Garbage game, but pretty promising as far as the future for the national team goes. I've been saying all Cup that Yedlin should have started, and he got his chance to show off his speed and usefulness as a chance creator. Julian Green mishit the volley on his goal, too, but that run was quality.

I'm excited for 2018 with Klinsmann and hopefully some young talent in the defense.

Good game. I get frustrated at goalless games though. I was rooting for Belgium just because they have such a strong, young team. Their counter-attacks are very dangerous, will be interesting seeing them against Argentina.

I really liked the last 10 or so minutes of the game. Most of the game belgium was just getting blocked by howard. Usa made it a fun game at the end got me thinking they could tie it.

Looking forward to col vs brazil. Rooting for the underdog

The semis are going to be intense. Just wish Silva + Neymar were available vs Germany, but Brazil will still give em hell.

Argentina is hurting as well, Aguero and now Di Maria's status is in question. Unless Messi wins by himself, which is very possible, I like a Dutch-Germany final.

Yeah man...such a shame..would have loved to see Brazil at their best vs Germany. REALLY mad that at least Silva isn't going to be able to play. A bad decision on his part to interrupt the goalies path..but he should have been given a warning, not a card.

Brazil can definitely still win though. Luiz is playing phenomenal defense and Hulk is due to find the net.

Argentina-Netherlands is interesting, the Netherlands are going to have to get RVP to start capitalizing on their opportunities if they want to win this thing.
