More Contact Field Options

What we currently have:

ICQ Number
AIM Screen Name
MSN Messenger Handle
Yahoo! Messenger Handle
Skype Name

I suggest we add more options such as but not limited to:

E-Mail
Xbox Gamer Tag
Playstation Network Gamer Tag
Steam ID

These are the first ones that I could think of, I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.

Sure not everyone is going to use these, but how many people honestly use some of the ones now such as ICQ, Yahoo, or Skype?

Just my opinion.

 

I think PSN and XBL Names would be cool.

 

I support the Steam and the XBL for people who dont need to be putting it in their sigs

 

Rs name too would also be good Kidding, I like the idea even though I don't play those other games. Email is good as well.

 

I support I think it would be a better way for people to get in contact with each other for trades, etc.

 

I can understand why it hasn't been added, because people eventually put it in their signature or somewhere else.

However, just like the other ones, have it in a set spot makes it much easier in my opinion.

Agreed. Remove ICQ Number(no one uses that) and replace it with XBL. We'd be able to get in touch easier and form a better community.

 

Ya, definite support for the Xbox Live GT. Would make it even easier to get in contact.

 

I don't see why this couldn't happen... Nothing hard about it and shouldn't be bad for anything...

 

I support adding Gamertags and PSNs to the contact options. Removing ICQ would be fine in my opinion. Don't see many people using that anymore.

This is actually a good suggestion. Some people actually do use skype here though. It is a nice method but there is no proof of being scammed if you trade on skype.

Back on track, I say we should remove ICQ and yahoo because those 2 are unused.

 

Yeah, I'm not saying that Skype should be removed, but stuff like ICQ are never used so the options should be updated.

 

If they were to make an XBL they would also need to make a PSN one.

 

XBL and PSN names would be great.
Easy to find and you could play with some of your sythe buddies.

This would be a good idea. Just eliminate ICQ as already mentioned and add XBL and PSN so people don't need to go looking for them

 

Why remove ICQ? It's not hurting anyone.
Instead of adding a bunch of other fields why not just have an 'Other' field box. You can enter a bunch of other stuff and list them yourself, then it will appear with a little icon.

 

ICQ should definitely be removed and PSN / XBL gamertag added. +1 support for you, Mr. Ken Lew.
