EDIT: Nevermind you're right I misread the second part - if it wasn't on a fresh account then his appeal will work so long as Blindcube didn't con him into telling Jagex the name was sniped.

 

I had it on a non level 3 account and was planning on transferring it to a level 3 account later that day.

 

My question is, where do I go from here? I mean I'd like to have the name back, but is it even possible at this point?

 

It is very possible. Look at that link that I sent you in the private message. That will help you go through some of the steps to recovering the name. I think you'll get it back likely.

 

Well... if you changed the name from your IP address, no... it's very unlikely that the appeal would be successful as the success of it relies on Jagex believing you were hacked.

However - submitting an appeal can't hurt, and if you have any accounts the name was on previously you should submit appeals from those if your initial one fails

 

If you used a VPN or something so it appears a hijacker removed your name it is, otherwise it isn't.

 

Never used a VPN for anything. Still would like someone to at least be punished for what happened to the name.

 

All I'm seeing is assumptions and no groundbreaking proof anyone has done anything. I'd suggest everyone to be very cautious when it comes to name transfers since the market and community around it can be very shady. If you have SOLID proof (not assumptions) feel free to contact me so we can take actions, but if not, please stop pointing fingers at everyone. Innocent until PROVEN guilty.
