Bitcoin investing.

I have made over $18,000 from BitCoins, pure luck aswell.

 

I can't believe how high it is. I wish I woulda invested at when it was around $10 per when I first got them.

 

Anyone know what's causing them to skyrocket? Are they just receiving a lot of attention and everyone's jumping on the bitcoin bandwagon by buying up them up as an investment?

Also, a bit unrelated but it's a real shame that such few people on Sythe trade with bitcoins. It's by far the safest and cheapest way of sending money online and would help virtual-good sellers a ton.

 

Isnt buying things with bitcoins a little complicated? Iv only looked into bitcoins a few times seems like a hell of lot of effort for people to do rsgp trades.

 

This is from /pol, but the assumption is that the price increases are because of the poor financial situiation the EU is in - More specifically, the actions they were considering (Taking a bit out of every bank account) in hopes of resolving it.

Profit can be made from Bitcoins - Although as of now, due to it's massive gains, Bitcoins are a nice big bubble that may burst.

 

Actual price of Bitcoins are around $250 atm... this is just ridiculous.

Lol look at how BTC are crashing last hour, that's why I won't ever look at them too seriously. It's around $155 atm.

 

I've never actually traded them myself but my friends use them often and say they're pretty easy to send. The only issue is that the concept of bitcoins is confusing to some at the beginning which might discourage people from using them. I think figuring out how they work is definitely useful, you get the safety of Western Union and Player Auctions (Which are also a hassle to use) without the ridiculous fees.

 

The freefall is going to continue. Huge list of people waiting to sell on mtgox wit no buyers.

Glad things are going down, maybe I'll buy more when the price goes down a lot more.

 

Whats funny is that yesterday I'd wrote out a nice post on FB about how Bitcoin was going to crash soon.

Apparently a couple of my friends, who had invested in Bitcoins, took that advice and dumped them when they hit 240 each. They are very thankful that they did.

Anyway, for coins, depending on what price Bitcoins eventually stabalize on they may or may not be that good of a investment choice for starting out. If they crash back down to the 20's or 10's and stabilize then buy some and wait for them to go back up.

If they stabilize at 40+ pass on them and instead get some Litecoins. The Bitcoin crash caused them to crash as well, but when Bitcoins stabilize and start rising, so will they. Litecoins topped 5 yesterday, were at 3.4 last time I checked. Depending on how low they go, then investing into them would be a very good idea.

 

I bought 22 BTC at $240. FML. I'm gonna try and wait it out, ain't got the nerve to cash out a loss and try to flip using the swings.

 

Crashed so hard atm lucky i sold mine 3days ago, had only 3 but bought them for like 45$ few months ago

Can not believe the spike resulting in Bitcoins, it was only maybe a year ago max where I contemplated spending $5000 worth on them at about $12-14 each, the Winklevii believe they will rise again when the future realises the power of virtual currency

 

wow, it really crashes hard from the 200+ range.
