    Investing/ Stocks Question

I've been looking to invest in the stock market for awhile (16 trying to save money for future needs and such) and was curious is there any sites where you can go to purchase stocks without having to pay the site and such to do so? I've been doing a few I guess stock seneros for the past month and to this moment I would have made a nice little bit but was curious about where I could go and if anyone had any good investing/certain stocks that would be good to invest and where I could do so for free preferably but if it costs the cheapest but best site :p I thank you so much!

    Investing/ Stocks Question

I'm pretty sure no where legitimate will offer this service for free. If you're worried about paying a small fee to invest you probably shouldn't be risking your money in the stock market :). Good luck if you do decide to invest.

All brokerages will charge you a commission. You can do them very cheap online though. For example, Scottrade is $7/trade. Also, if you PM me, I can send you a referral code for them that will give you your for 3 trades for free.

These guys are correct. You won't find a place that offers free transactions, unless you have like 100k to deposit or something. Fees will vary from $3–$10 for most quality online brokerages.

Do a Google search for online brokerage comparisons, there are plenty of reviews

Like Nate said, you definitely wanna shop around for whatever best fits your needs. There are a lot of variables besides price. Some places will have better customers service than others and some will have brick and mortar establishments you can go to with questions or checks to deposit. For example, I like Scottrade because I also have a free checking account with them that also refunds ATM fees for my debit card.

It's all about figuring out what you want and then finding the place that does it best.

    scottrade -

7$ each trade (well 14 total for buying and selling)
    free interest checking (.01%)
only negative is their debit card has a 3k per day limit which is annoying sometimes
Brick shops with free seminars and support.

    Thinly veiled brag :p

They also make it really easy to move money between accounts and in and out. I have mine linked with paypal which make it even more convenient. Most or all online discount brokers are gonna have this ability as well.

    Investing/ Stocks Question

Thanks Im looking into them, I tried to go free at first cause I found places costing rediculous prices some actually had 20+ a trade.. They sound like a legit place (scottrade) but from my understanding though from you guys it sounds good besides the 3k limit a day is there any other falls or downs (that really wont affect me)

    Investing/ Stocks Question

Lol my bank charges me 28$ everytime I buy or sell any amount so its not even worth buying under 1000$, also I also get solid currency conversion fees when I switch from CAD to USD, and when I switch back eventually. But since the us dollar has been doing so good I actually made money on having it in us.
