just can't physically play anymore

the whole game for me was based on feeling and community, standing fishing swordies and all that nostalgic shit. anyone at Jagex HQ who believes better graphics and a incredibly poor man's WoW are an improvement are deluded. it's just lost something, and i can't even deem it playable. to log in for 5 minutes kills the small child in me.

remember fally park? just remember it. oh childhood. I just handed a guy standing in varrock centre 15m as a means of quitting, didn't even say thank you. 5 years ago i'd have shed a tear in receiving that kind of kindness.

 

I know this is stupid, and probably obvious. But mate, its time for you to give up.

 

It sounds like its not the game changing that is the source of your dislike for the game, its just the fact that you have outgrown it.

 

Fally park was good, Back in the day It's changed so much..i'm still playing&I can still get into it but a lot of things they gave ruined

 

it's a bit of both. the game is unrecognisable, i can't understand how it could any longer be considered fun.

 

Should have considered joining a social clan.

 

Might be a mix of both.. for me, it is a mix of everything. Also, I often did giveaways... trivia... I even would run Riotbot to log winners and stats and give people rewards...

Long story short, I had the same ungratefulness from the majority of members... but ftp players were generally way better.

 

I know what you mean, I have gone round giving people like 300K and it's so rare for someone to say thank you, I remember someone giving my an ammy of power which was like 20k back in 2007 and I followed him around spamming 'TYTYTY'

The community is dead, mate, it's very unfortunate, but true.

 

I know exactly how you feel, long for the old memories everyday .. then I log in and it's just one big boring disappointment. Sad to know we'll never go back, ehy.

Jagex has fucked us all over. Maybe it's time to move on, or try different RSPS and see which one you like the most.

 

time to move on or take a long break. Try looking into other games. I for one moved back to WoW for a bit but quit, and I am playing GW2 from time to time.

 

I quit a year or two ago, I know and everyone else knows exactly how you feel. Playing games on Steam is a thousand times better, which is where I am now. TF2, Skyrim, Payday, Far Cry, CS:S, those are awesome games.

Its pretty sad to say but yes, I use to love runescape it was probably my favorite game for like 3 years. Now I can't even stayed logged on for more then 5 minutes without getting bored. All you can do is bot but its pretty pointless now.

I know how you feel.. when I am reaaaally bored (of WoW) I go sometimes into RS but it's just so boring haha, I try to think of the good times though. :/

 

If you can't deal with the change, there is only one piece of advice. It's time to leave. However, if you can eventually get used to change & variation, then you can fix it, it just takes time.

 

Gave out 500K's because I quit and a few people begged me for more. Community's gone to shit, Jagex has fucked up with all of these updates.

 

Get off your ass and go outside and play a real game.

 

I've posted this on countless threads before. The game isnt ruined, infact for players of ohter mmorpgs like rappelz where the only "skills" are similar to the new "abilities" the game is better, now its like the games i love, but with the skills of runescape.

ur bitching about better graphics? i mean it seems to me that your saying they are better, and u dont like it. what do you do, buy a xbox360 and bitch cuz u liked the graphics on the NES better?

the ability bar is useful. once you get used to the new style of gameplay, its funner. Learn to mash skills with combat, it actually makes combat faster and more enjoyable. however, I am terribly sorry if you only want to play a game where you click on a mob and beat off until its dead, I guess the EoC just isnt for you.

More people quit over jagex removing the wildy, so obviously this isnt such a bad move. infact I only personally know 2 people that have quit due to EoC and I am in a maxed combat clan ranked in the top 10 on clan hiscorea, so the older players, including myself clearly like the EoC.

It makes power-skilling faster. Any skill your powerleveling that you want to "drop" the item your acquiring such as cutting logs or mining concentrated gold, you can set the log/ore to the action bar, spam hit the # on ur keyboard and drop the entire invo in a matter of seconds and you dont evn have to click the rock/tree again, you just continue cutting/mining. pretty useful.

I personally just think anyone who will give the EoC a chance (5 hours+ of gameplay) will begin to enjoy the game alot, maybe even more than they did before the update.

simple tips: mash skills in combat. put items on the action bar for skilling.

As for the graphics, if they are THAT big of a problem, go to your settings, graphic options, put the graphics on low and wallah! no more "better" graphics!
