    Chaotic Rapier is the best imo, so versatile and hits relatively high. I basically don't use other weapons unless the situation demands it.

    If pricing doesn't matter like you said in the original post, what would make a rare the 'best runescape item'?

    Chaotic rapier is definitely up there. I need no other melee weapons because of it ^_^ It wrecks. I honestly can't think of anything else. Weight reduction gear is quite handy.

    Penance horn is the best, due to how easy it is to fill, and the amount of xp you can gain from filling it to full. Best item imo.

    Bandos - affordable and very good. Not the best in terms of stats, but overall, in terms of price, use, bandos is best.
