Best Psp system to buy?

I grew up on playstation, n64, and gameboy's.
None, of my friends have psp's, we all have 360's and PS3's, so I'm asking you, fellow sythe members.

I'm looking to buy a the best psp to hack it so I can install all the emulators, and play all the classics, etc... From my understanding, the PSP Star Wars & Daxter bundles are completey hackable? (not slightly)

The Go! hasn't been hacked yet, so I dont really care for it. I'm guessing my best bet would be to buy a star wars bundle new to aviod any problems? Oh yeah, would I need to buy a pandora's battery also?

Any comments or feedback is greatly appreciated.

 

Not sure about that, my advice would be to buy it and go to a store that mods it (or a friend you know who can) and see if it's moddable. If it isn't then simply return it and get one that is.

From my understanding all fat and older slim ones are fully hackable, the newer slims and the psp 3000's aren't fully hackable.

 

PSP 3000's are now hackable and you can easily install your emulators on them.

If you are looking for a cheaper option, ipod touches could be viable. Just jailbreak it and install your emulators/games/etc.

 

I can't just go return one, because I don't live in the United States anymore.
The area I'm at doesn't even have the common stores, like GameStop or Walmart. I was just planning on buying it online from Amazon, that's why I asked for advice..

Check up PSPISO, if you want a site all about PSP's and FW and whatnot.

The later PSP slims and PSP 3000's aren't able to run the same CFW as the older versions, but there is something for it so you are able to play ISO's.

 

One of my family members is in the states right now, and bought me the only avaliable psp 2000 (dont want a 3000 because of what I said.
The problem is I'm not sure if it's fully hackable! =/
On the e-mail, the only description was the bar code says AB0020622334 PSP 2001. Noob h3lP Pl0x?

QUESTIONS:
Can and is it completely hackable WITHOUT a pandora's battery?

Edit: Figured out that 2001 meant it's United States region. -.-
Still need the other question though!

 

If it has a motherboard that is fully hackable, then yes you need a pandora's battery to flash the CFW.

Google: PSPident or find it on pspiso and get the latest version and run it. It will tell you your motherboard and other info, then check if it is hackable.

Got advice from a psp forum. Since I have a updated psp slim (5.51), the best thing to do is order a pandora battery since I can't identify what the exact motherboard is. I'm going to order a pandora probably tomorrow from DX online, since that seems like the go-to site. I'll post again when I hack it XD

 

You can still identify what motherboard it has, search on that psp site or use the PSPident program I told you about. I wouldn't order the pandora battery until your sure it's moddable, otherwise your wasting your money.
