thinking bout buying psp need some help

ok so i want to buy a psp (not the psp go) and im guessing the best one would be 3000?if not which one would be best? also can you put like gba and psx emulators on the psp? if so is it hard to put the emulator and roms on? and how much would a GOOD memory chip cost? something that can hold emulators and roms and music. i realy dont know much about these things thanks

 

The 3000 is the latest (not including the Go), and if I remember correctly they were on sale for $129.99 at Sonystyle, but it might have ended. I'm not 100% sure you can put emulators and other stuff on the 3000, I know you can with certain 3000 models, but some of the newer ones with FW higher than 5.00 you can't.

Most of the older 2000 and 100% of the 1000 you can use emulators.

Yeah Skele_Master is Right about the 3000's,You should probably get an older one if you want Emulators.
I'm Thinking about switching up and getting the GO soon.

 

On the PSP-3000, I don't think that you can put emulators or any homebrew because there's no hacks for it (I think). The only PSPs that can use custom firmware is the PSP phat (PSP-1000) or the slim & lite (PSP-2000) as they can use the pandora battery. This does not work with the PSP-3000 or the GO.

The emulators and roms are not difficult to put on as you just need to drag the files into the right directory, I recommend you get a 4gb memory stick as most roms don't have large filesizes, if you want to have a lot of music then you should get a 8GB or 16GB memory stick.

 

I have the 3000 and it's pretty easy to put emulators on it.

 

So they released a hack/exploit/cfw for it now? If they did I guess it would be worth getting the 3000.
