And yeah assuming you're using a well made script (which pretty much everyone will use, because only well made scripts will run long/with good antiban) you will be just fine.

Tons of people use Simba SCAR and the bans that people post about are super minimal if any.

I'd say their 'detectability' is the same.

How will Jagex catch anyone by doing a 'manual investigation'? What would they look for, and how would they target those accounts? Simba/SCAR work just like humans do.

ANY scripted bot, even with human mousemovements, is detectable. AI is one thing that is required to be udetectable. Also, perfectly human mousemovements are required as well. Also black-box security is a must. Also, RiD doesn't breach the DMCA, so he could never be shut down by Jagex.

When Jagex does manually investigations, any bot does not have human mouse movements will fail. They have the capabilities of detecting your x,y coordinates of your mouse at any time that it is on the RS applet, and can use basic algorithms to figure out the range in which your mousemovements operate at. Even if it's human-like, it is still within a set range, even if you code in extra randomness. It HAS to be human to be undetectable.

Yes it is possible to create an undetectable bot with Simba, however there are very few people on Simba who have those capabilities.

I have yet to get a report that someone's been ban just from my Fighter or Smelter. They are both highly used and I've had many people PM/Post that they got 99 with my scripts.

Cool. I've seen people get 99 with autoclickers, but that doesn't mean they are undetectable.

I won't say bans don't happen, but when they do its because
A. The user base of Simba is larger then RID. (increasing chances that someone will be banned not that you will)

False. RiD actually has more active members than Simba does.

B. They botted stupid / suicide runs.

Look around RiD's forums for the vets. Most of them are suicide botters, botting 15-20 hours a day, and almost everyone else is a Guideline breaker, and yet we still have only seen 1 ban for every 16,000 hours botted by the community. That's a better ban rate than Simba, especially since it's counting All of RiD's bots, all 12 of them.

C. Bad script was used? (I still hear reports of bad scripts clicking same place for hours on end and still not get banned.)

Yeah, as I said before. The script quality is up to the skill of the scripter, and with RiD, all of them have proven to be undetectable over the past 3 years

I still think it comes down to luck/chance of getting reported and due to A Simba has more people to get 'unlucky' if you will.

With Simba, yes, it is luck and chance. With RiD, even if you get reported, you will pass automated detection systems. Even if it was a manual investigation, only people consistently breaking Guidelines would be caught.

Also, Darksoul, a super mod at RiD, has been working with SCAR for years. He at one time made a fully AIO ZMI rc script for SCAR that was 65,000 lines of code. I've educated myself a lot in regards to botting in general, and am always open to new information if it is presented properly and is unbiased. I've botted enough to make a decision on what bots are detectable, and a decent view on the quality of many of the past reflection and injection bots, and a mild overview of Scar and Simba. Whereas Simba's quality depends on the skill of the scripter, I know that RiD is one of the best bot makers for RS, and that I will always be safe using his bots

I think he might be a bit wrong on the 65k lines of code haha, , but point is we mods at RiD (for the most part) have used other botting platforms. I know it seems like we are bias but I just give my honest as unbiased opinion as I can. I myself have used nexus for over 800 hours, RiD for over 1800, and I have used SCAR a few years back as the first bot I have ever used. I used to script for JMacro (small startup color bot), I have used various autoclickers, RSBuddy etc.

Here is the number of bans/offenses I have received from the bots.

JMacro - 1 ban, was coding a tea stall thiever, clicking on the same pixel got me banned.

RSBuddy - 1 Ban, was using a free cooking script that got me banned.

Nexus - 2 Bans, 4 infractions/temp bans - various bots used from feltching to SW to Perf's Autofighter, so it's hard to say which caused the bans.

SCAR - 0 Bans, I used an old autofighter back when I started up and was a noob to both the botting scene and RS, I used it a bit, but not too much.

Autoclickers - 0 Bans, Used under 50 hours just to level magic by teleporting.

RiD - 0 bans, over 1800 hours used, over 10 99's achieved

To answer your question it depends on what you need, if say you want to level your account using SW you would probably go with SIMBA, it is true SIMBA has more scripts than RiD has bots because it is an open source community where everyone pitches in (for the most part). But I urge you to give both a try, SIMBA is free obviously so you lose nothing by trying it, its a great bot whose platform has been around for years and years and will be around for some years to come. RiD offers 2 free bots, powerminer and construction as well as 6 free credits per month. So it is worth checking out both bots and then just making your decision from there.

Darksoul is a very good programmer. He has his BaS in Computer Technologies and Networking. He made the ZMi script in SCAR, and he made it in RSBuddy. In Scar, not Simba, it was 65klocs. In RSBuddy, it was 1.5k lines. I'll question him further about it the next time I see him around.

And LMFAO! 65K OF CODE FOR A ZMI SCRIPT. The fact that it took RiD 3 months to release a Firemaking script just explains what RiD is in general. It's a single human creating bots to make money - AKA NO FUTURE.

I am not saying anything against RiD at all, I just totally disagree with the claims that it is SUPER SUPRIROR to Simba in any way, I'd say they are pretty equal competitors. It's just nicer that Simba is open source, scriptable, free, and has a larger selection.

RiD is great, Simba is great, no one is better than other right now in any huge way.

Do you realise because it is technically impossible to perform something like that. Even if he would succeed writing those bots, It would't be 1000% undetectable as rid states for their bots. And it would't have latest trash talker 2012 installed, that admits to botting, and swears a lot.

Dammit guys, really? Another thread like this? I think the RiD guys are back to their old spamming ways again, or maybe they haven't stopped I have just been gone from this section for a while. The guys from RiD always make these grandiose claims about absolutely no bans ever after 20 billion hours of botting that I couldn't personally refute but I am glad someone finally actually brought up real proof.

RiD is great, Simba is great, no one is better than other right now in any huge way.

It is possible to make a RiD equivalent in Simba or SCAR, however the practicality would be minimal, seeing as unless the scripter creates an autoupdater (RiD created one, allowing him to fix bot breaking RS graphical updates within 24-48 hours. Any specific bot issues are solved as people report them with proper tickets.

Simba has the potential to be as good as RiD, but the problem doesn't lie with Simba itself, as I agree it is a fantastic base for learning to program and make bots with for private use, however, the majority of the bot makers on Simba simply lack the equivalent programming experience to RiD.

Simply stated, Simba could be used to make a bot like RiD, however most programmers for Simba lack the skill level to achieve it.

RiD actually made the first beta version from scratch for the Firemaking bot the week of Christmas, and it was in beta by Christmas. It was extremely stable within 1-2 weeks, and we released the final version for the last week in January to the Veterans, and on the 31st it was released publicly. This means that it took RiD ~1 month to make it fully flawless. He just threw it together as a christmas gift for the mods, just like he did the year before with the Construction bot. He has 2-3 other bots being worked on, but aren't near beta yet. Currently all except 5-6 skills can be botted with RiD, so it's not like it's users will commonly run out of skills to bot

The really funny thing was that I never spammed. Every post I've made is relevant to the questions it is in response to.
