[PENDING]sythe emoji update

Hi there

I believe we would like to see more emojis & just ways of commenting an emotion other than some nasty pixelated smiley faces.
Possibly even adding a react option to comments. Would disable this for market areas tho as people will abuse it...

Oh please no, current smileys are just perfect for a forum and enough to express your emotions.

 

Not really needed to be honest. The current smileys are nostalgic to the site

To elaborate MORE, The text system on Sythe kind of sucks, when you’re putting words & sentences together it combines them & makes crap emoji faces.
I would love some Pepe emojis or just some fun emojis & reacts

 

Laziest suggestion I've seen in a while... I feel like you should either suggest "emoji 1 -> emoji 2" if you want to see a change made or post this in comm gen/feedback to get community input before making a decent suggestion. Might as well suggest "Fix site - y/n?" per this logic.

I don't see emojis used so much on Sythe. Maybe because they're heavily outdated? I don't necessarily feel like there is a need for more. But some pepemojis wouldn't hurt :shrug:

 

I agree the current boomer emojis are severely outdated and should be updated.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing some newer emojis as long as they look good

 

Why not, more meme material for spam forum. Tbh i doubt it would give much benefit to sythe but it surely won't hurt it

Support, Sythe should include a drop down menu for Text-emoji since they are already available on all device. would only need to accept them on the forum, could bring more diversity in the forum post without a doubt.

I feel it is a double-edged sword. Why change something that already works? In my opinion I think if this update happens, Sythe would lose his essence.

 

You think a small emoji update would make Sythe.org unpopular?
i don’t think so... change is usually good, especially a online market

 

I tried using the goggle emoji on here the other day, the current emoji setup does seem a bit dated.

 

We will look into this with the xenforo rework.
