Not necessarily. Anyone with underlying conditions can die to it. It's also more severe than the flu and that's.. a well known fact. "Mostly" elders is a lie. A lot of younger people and middle-aged people are dying to it too. It's around even really.

Yes that's true they would most likely die from the flu if there were no vaccines/meds for it, but COVID-19 is worse. SARS was worse than this but not as dmuch as this in response, but SARS had a lower infectivity (death rate was 10%).

Someone with asthma though, in their early 20s? High risk. This is way more dangerous than the flu my man. My friend who lives in Scotland has an ENTIRE family of people at risk and her pap's showing symptoms, it could potentially kill her whole family except her. This isn't something to be all "sheeple" about, this is a serious ass thing man. Some "high risk" people have HAD the flu before and it wasn't... this bad. COVID kills.

It is true that it could potentially kill millions. However the direct and fast response from (most) countries (except AUS and UK and prob America lol) has lowered its severity quite a bit. Lockdown is the right thing to do, only go out for food or essentials. Testing shows we're not even that far from treatment anyways, this wouldn't last long. A lockdown is the right move.

Also, the ecofascism isn't cute. The air we breathe has gotten 'better', yes, but the whole "venice canals" shit and all that is overblown bs. It's not like the world instantly gets cleaner, the venice canals were only dirty bc of dirt being stirred up from under them. Now the dirts resting at the bottom. That's just one example.

I haven’t heard of a single case of anyone under their 50s dying to it. C’mon man, it was created in a lab. That tells you everything you need to know.

So yes, people are dying in the 10-39 age range. And it's mostly people with underlying conditions like heart issues, asthma, etc. It's not just people above 50. Just because you live in a place doesn't mean it's guaranteed to only be people of a certain age, just cos they live in Italy doesn't mean they know absolutely everything about every COVID-19 case. I'm not saying they're wrong, because it's definitely more likely to cause death in those 50+, but.. yeah

Also, it wasn't created in a lab. It was worked on in a lab though, but the viruses originated in bats iirc. There were 6 coronaviruses worked on and maintained in a Wuhan lab (can find the source if you really want), and it could have either been that lab it leaked from, or it could have been a zoonotic shift from the Huanen wet market (where it's believed to have came from).

It was absolutely not created. It was found, then tested on. But it wasn't really extensively tested anyway. They just knew of its existence before this.

It's literally factually known that without treatment of either, corona is more dangerous than the flu. The flu doesn't permanently damage your lungs and/or kill you. COVID-19 if it doesn't kill you but you have it bad can damage your lungs to the point of where you lose 20-30% of function. That's... not a joke.

The death rate for the seasonal flu is around 0.1% in the USA. The death rate of COVID-19 has far surpassed that.

0.1% for seasonal flu. COVID-19 is at like... 3-5%? In Italy it's around 7.2%. Yeah... not looking pretty.

Also Italy's just had 700 people die today so like.... yeah. That's quite a fucking bit. That's more than China's reported daily iirc.

Well depends how you take it mate, the death rate is taken off the active cases and deaths, but you gotta think about the recovered cases and the deaths, because the people infected have the chance to die. In Italy there are around 6400 deaths and 8300 recovered which means that a 44% of closed cases ended up in fatalities and that if you mantain that ratio, 22000 of 54000 infected people would die.
The problem is that Italy has a lot of elderly people, that makes that the death ratio be high, and many of the death had previous illness such as diabetes, maybe lung problems, etc. So that number doesn't reflect the reality

I understand yes, Italy has a lot of elderly, but it doesn't mean it's less impactful. These are people too you gotta understand, they have families and it's horrible to see a loved one die from suffering than old age. I would rather have my grandfather go out in his sleep peacefully than die from sepsis or COVID-19.

I went out today to get KFC (we had to go to town ANYWAYS but still), so I'm not innocent either, but after today everything is on lockdown. There are also no confirmed cases anywhere near me and travel is being locked down tonight. Closest is 2 hours away. Only 3 cases on either side of me iirc, all are on strict 14 day lockdown.

However, no matter where I or anyone else goes, stay at least 2 meters or 6 feet apart. FAR.

My friend's dad is almost nearing critical condition and he's at home. Vomiting anything even WATER. He is an at-risk category. Her whole family could be wiped out except for her potentially. This is dangerous, please do not play with it. Not just the elderly are dying, her sister and father could go too.

He's never gone outside. She went outside once, visited her BF and that was about it. Now her father's in a dangerous spot.

Please, no matter if you're a theorist on this or not, just respect the victims or possible victims of this nasty hoe virus.

 

What? I never say that elder people doesn't matter, I just say that it makes the virus deadlier if you are old. It's being said everywhere, and as Italy population lives a lot (my Italian grandpa lived 92 years, similar to his brothers/sisters) it's obvious that the virus is going to kill more people there

Crazy how people are saying the media Over hyped it. We young people can survive it easily, but our parents can contract it easily and they are the ones to perish instead of us. Regardless if we survive it, people who have had the corona virus said its 2x worse than the flu, weeks of pain, high fever, struggling to breathe. Corona virus is serious, i have a friend irl who recently came back from vacation and didn't know she had it and the symptoms showed 5 days later and almost got all of her friends sick and they are all quarantined right now just in case. It's scary how the symptoms show so late and thats why its so easy to spread
