Has anyone had luck with appealing under 5 year old perm macro bans?

When I say appeal, I mean using the link in one of the anti-cheating jmod's twitters which gives you a questionnaire before appealing the ban.

Accounts were all banned for macro major. No RWTing/bug abuse/etc.

A little background: Botted 5-6 pk accounts via NMZ to 95-99 combat stats for their specific brackets. Accounts weren't botted at the same time. Wasn't a chain ban. Bans for each account occurred 6+ months after first time botting on the account. Actively played on the accounts when not botting - pking, questing, pvming, etc.

I know Jagex has their last chance policy for accounts that were banned around ~5 years+.

Curious if anyone has been able to appeal a perm macro major ban that is under the 5 year mark? If so, what did you say/how did you go about it? Did you own up to the offense? Make an elaborate lie? Deflect entirely and just ask for an unban?

Any insight into successful appeals would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: It appears my notifications somehow were turned off. I appreciate all the replies, thought no one read the thread lmfao. I appealed 5 accounts and got 5 denials, which I was expecting since the bans were only 1-1.5 years old.

 

i tried on 5 different acc's to appeal a ban from a 5 different I.P (even sometime ORIGINAL I.P) without help , all of them denied !

 

I've personally had success. It's just the luck of the draw honestly

 

unbanned from that appeal section on the website that was posted in a thread on here not so long ago.

was unbanned on my 1st osrs account which was banned for botting fishing. not even heavily it was like 60-80 but ended up getting pet which must of got it reported and banned.

acc was made by a good friend who shared it with me for months before quitting.

jagex said offenses werent commited by original owner so they unbanned acc but on the basis that it is recovered by original owner.

 

I've had no success with bans under 5 years old, but usually all over that get unbanned.

 

I personally have had 2 accounts unbanned >3 years. I think one was about 3.5 years and one was 4 years.

 

I just got 8+ accounts unbanned today which were all given in 2015. When appealing I selected that I would like to apologise, rather than dispute and I got an email stating that although it is against T.o.S given the time length since the ban they will give me 1 more opportunity to play. Interestingly I tried to get a bunch of 2018 accounts unbanned but didn't even get an email response.

 

I tried about 10 accounts to get unbanned, a few crappy osrs pures got unbanned for botting which were less than 5 year old.

Some of my better OSRS pures with stats around 90+ all got denied

and all my accounts banned for botting in 2006 were unbanned.

 

The detection system is interesting obviously it would appear that we all don’t know to much about it.. But it does have its flaws it bans individuals incorrectly for instance.

I have had no success unbanning anything recently and the platform to try and dispute it is awful.

 

In Nov, I got a Hunter bot Un-ban and quashed can prove in photos. there is a higher chance If you go to website> support > your account > Your account setting's scroll down appeal ban; the drop-down bar there is an option to admit to using third-party client's write something along the lines of your sorry and you didn't know the clients weren't allowed, it'll never happen again. Edit; The account had all of it's appeal's used aswell through logging in. You can still appeal this way even after last appeal has been used. I got a direct email from Jmod 14 days later.

 

95% of the appeals I have sent in for 5+ year old accounts have been unbanned

10% of accounts I have sent in that were banned for macro within the last 2 years have been unbanned

Can anyone provide me the link that give a questionnaire before appealing the ban ?

 

My original main banned in 2013 was unbanned within a week, while my 2nd main banned in 2017 hasn't had a response to the appeal I sent a month ago (which is probably a denial)

I've tried recovering loads of old accounts all of em without sucesful.
Friends of mine have recovered them account sucessfully and it's truth because I was there irl...
so i really don't know what to think.

 

I'd say it's all hit or miss tbh. Kind of like the bans.

 

Have you tried when submitting an appeal, 'I would like to apologise' rather than trying to state your account was stolen etc. I got all of my 4+ year ban appeals accepted by selecting the above.

 

I got around 6 banned acc’s almost tried to appeal on all of them.
Nothing help denide all time.

 

How old were the bans?

 

Submitted a macro appeal from 2016 and got it approved after 8 days. Submitted another from a guthans host bot i had, unbanned same day. Submitted 2-3 more still waiting on approval/denial
