Banned keywords when creating a thread

Everyday the same people create imposter accounts of Ballersgold, Partypeteshop, and numerous others posting their fake gold site, yet it makes no sense to me that these links are allowed everyday. I think a system needs to be implemented, globally or maybe just for the RuneScape market, that could auto delete threads caught linking these websites or putting it in their thread title. It may not be possible to do with Xenforo directly, but I'm sure Richard himself is competent enough to create a script that checks for certain keywords in threads and deletes them if posted. If something with Xenforo can be done for keywords in creating threads, it should disallow the creation of threads in certain sections with these linked websites as new users are clearly still falling for it and I feel as if its a huge detriment towards the growth of Sythe.

Lost 50m to this a few days ago loool I l learnt my lesson though, and I won't make it again - a post requirement should come in handy though

OR allow like $500 donors to have coloured text when making a thread (one colour though) which gives all businesses an insentive to donate and people are certain what's real , or even allow bolding in their thread titles

Support. Links to Fake/Imposter sites should be blacklisted/banned.

@Bus369 I'm pretty sure @Dropperz only wants to have the imposter/scammer sites to be blacklisted. Therefore this will not harm legitimate sites in any way.

Yes, this. we ONLY want to blacklist the scam sites, not legitimate ones. Also, there is probably a way they can figure out to blacklist certain ways certain words are typed (e.g, blacklist links besides "ballersgold.com" with similar writing styles from being posted).

In no way does this mean to effect actual websites, by this I mean to blacklist words that scammers commonly use that NO ONE else would post.

They'll just put the real title in the thread as that won't get locked ???

And then link it to a fake one, how can they blacklist a website they don't know is real yet ?

These people post the same websites everyday or other variations. Block websites from being linked that start with ballersgold/ballergold except for ballersgold.com as that is the only TRUE site. In no situation should a person be linking a scam site on the forums except 1. they are the scammer, or 2. they are making a scam report against the fake site.

If anything, certain domain extensions should be whitelisted (.org, .com, .edu, etc.).

Most imposter websites will use ***, .gg, .tz, or other weird extensions. There's also "ballersgold" or whatever that I'm aware of, which uses a .com extension (I believe), so all of those could be added to the blacklist. However, I feel it'd be easier to whitelist select extensions and censor non-qualified links. For those that pass the filter, they can be added to the blacklist, which will at the very least cause those creating imposter sites to waste more time and money than it's worth.

I'm not sure how this might affect the site though, so input from Richard/Matt will be helpful.

This is sort of what I meant. Whitelist certain sites that are the real links and blacklist any variation that isnt whether its been posted yet or not.

Seems we have combated the problem of the impostor sites as of late.
