Receiving a notification when quoted

As the title says, I think that it'd be a useful option to be able to receive a sythe notification whenever somebody responds to you on the forums with a quote.

I think it has a lot of benefits (primarily, being able continue conversations in threads without having to follow them)

and no downsides as it would (obviously) be optional (preferably opt in rather than opt out).

I really don't understand why it's not already an option, I assume it's already been suggested, so why did it never become a reality?

I fully support this. Not only does it allow you to get back to whoever quoted you faster, it jogs your memory as well.

I'm thinking it should go on the header of the site, next to quick links. Wouldn't want it to pm you and fill up your inbox. That would get annoying.

There is no downside to this I can think of. I agree, the site should of already had this feature.

 

I support this I also don't see any downsides to this that I can think of at the moment. Will update if I think of any.

 

I'm pretty sure this has been declined before? People can subscribe to threads (was the decline reason, I think)

Yeh it was denied last time as you can subscribe to threads. I'll support it though as long as it is not too much work!

 

No need, I mean I just check threads back and it's been denied multiple times I believe.
