Do you feel that doctors should be able to assist patients should they decide they would like to end their lives?

This shouldn't be an issue whatsoever. If both the patient, and the doctor have a consensual understanding, so be it.

The problem is the legal issues. SO MANY LEGAL ISSUES.
Oh, and theres also that stupid morality thing that people tend to manufacture (i mean in silly arguments like these, not in ordinary situations)

I support though.

I am against euthanasia, because when a person decides to take his own life, it can be a split second in which he decides this. If a doctor would act on this fast decision he might kill someone who could have had a great life ahead of him. It's not our call to decide whether someone should die or not, and NO I do NOT believe in god whatsoever.

You can never be sure whether it is the right choice to take someone's life. I personally am also against the death penalty, how bad the crime may be, you are taking someone's life.

I don't see how this is relevant, people do many things on impulse, should we ban the purchase of cars because they can be made on a 'split second' decision? A better question to ask is, are you against someone shooting themselves in the head because they are in immense pain (burning alive).

Doctors will not kill the patient within seconds/minutes of them requesting to be killed. Your right, it's not my call to decide whether or not someone should die, it's their call, so how about we respect their rights and see to it that they be upheld.

What constitutes as 'right' and 'wrong' constantly change, everyone has their different take on it. Just because you can't be absolutely certain that x is the best/right choice, doesn't mean you should take it. Just because you can't decide which University to apply to, doesn't mean the default is not to apply to any of them.

I completely support it, if I was in pain constantly or could do nothing except lay in bed, I would not want to continue my life. And who is to tell me I should be forced to just because of their own ethical or moral issues.

If someone wants to kill themselves, it is their choice. What's wrong with a doctor helping them do it humanely and painlessly?

I beleive in euthanasia, as long as the patient, and all their family know and agree that the patient wants to end their lives. but i only beleive in it for terminally sick patients on their last days. I don't beleive that some kid who falls out of his tree house and breaks his arm and wants to kill himeslf should be able.

Sorry, I should've been more straightforward.
What I meant to say was that if certain problems (moral and ethical in this case) exist because of it, then it is an issue.
What type of morals or ethics does it severely, or otherwise breach?

I feel that is someone is terminally ill and are going to die a painful death then they should be allowed to be killed more humainly.
