Are you materialistic?

Things that pertain to my personal image I couldn't care less about. Although, when it comes to things I use everyday I like to buy the things that are going to last.

 

In relation to your average person no. When it comes to having new technology and the latest trends my opinion is that if what you got works don't upgrade it. Most of my expenses involve needs and non materials things. As in concerts and memorable experiences like that.

 

truthfully if i think if you feel joy when you get something in object form it's materialism and everyone feels that from things they want not need.

 

Absolutely in some aspects, but such as in clothes if i like the way something looks i tend not to care about the brand.

 

Slightly! I do have money to back up my bad habits though, and I still prefer going for experiences rather than items. Traveling is nice.

 

I don't spend much money on my clothes or anything of that nature, personally I don't see the point. When you look at things like yeezys for like $500, you only buy them for how popular they are, there are products just as comfortable or better looking at a third of the price.

I spend most my money on things I'd use to make money. For example, I spent 4k on my PC setup, where I do most my work, then I bought an s8+ because when I'm not around my PC I'm still working on my phone in some form.

 

Depends in what kinda way, if something makes my life more comfortable i'll buy it, but i wouldn't bother spending money to show-off or on overpriced shit (unless it comes to cars, that's my weakness)

 

I would say no. But sometimes it does get out of control and I end up buying something unnecessary which I usually end up regretting.

 

I am not. I got like a 4 year old mobile because "it does everything it has to do". I got a few years old computer because "it does everything it has to do". Maybe its because I am older now, when I was a teen I did buy all the newest phones and shit but now I dont anymore, just dont see the point. Will update my phone/computer whenever I feel like I absolutely have to.

Definitely materialistic.
Rolex, LV, Gucci.
Love name brand clothes.
Bought my girl a Range Rover this year.
I drive a truck, but it’s the platinum (Ultimate) package, all the bells and whistles.
Etc etc.
My being materialistic is probably one of the dominating factors as to why I hustle nonstop in business though, so to each his own.

Why does being materialistic always have to be associated with it being a bad thing?

 

I find myself to be very materialistic. I’m always trying to buy the newest things. I’m working on changing that now to better invest in my future. Trying to work on my savings and less on my checking.

 

I am and I don't care! I work for my money so if I want the new iPhone I will buy it!

 

im pretty selective when it comes to spending. I spend a lot on my car (hobby) and my Gaming, rest I can care less about.

 

I'm pretty minimalist. Granted I am a poor student and spend most my money on alcohol (lol), but I value experience over material objects anyday. Life is short, aim to experience as much as you can!

It hurts to see people spend all their money on an iPhone or something similar. It's just a status symbol, you can get the same utility for so much less, and then travel Europe for weeks with the difference.

 

Im not materialistic i just like have nice new things...and to look smart i guess vanity more then materialistic i guess

 

Absolutely materialistic, but I have self control when it comes to spending.
