Are Extreme Pots Worth It For Slayer?

I have 200m lieing around, and Im planning to get 99 Slayer, so is it worth getting to 94 herb?

Money isnt an issue, my question is, is it worth it, and will it make a big difference if i use super sets, or extreme sets.

 

I notice a MASSIVE difference when I use Extremes during Slayer tasks, IMO it is definitely worth it.

It won't cost you anywhere near 200M to get 94 Herb, and to make your pots/herb training cheaper you could train making Extremes. I have almost 900 Extreme sets in bank from doing it that way and I don't regret it because I will use them.

Tl;dr Helps a ton and I see it as worth it. I use them for Slayer/general PvM on my 137 AND on my 138 and I notice a huge advantage.

 

Getting to ~88-89 herb is only like 50m nowadays. It's WAY worth it, considering the low price. I considered it worth it when it was 200m and GP was $.75/m (meaning $150; now it's barely $30).

 

Yes, I think they definitely are, especially if money isn't an issue. Tasks will go way faster and the difference between supers to extremes is bigger than the difference between Piety and Turmoil.

 

Thanks Som3guy, that's another point I should have mentioned that is slightly relevant to the post.

It is also worthwhile to Turmoil during your tasks, especially if you are wearing prayer bonus gear during tasks where you negate damage fully with protect prayers. Prayer pots are cheap (they were buying for 1.8K ea at the end of BXP weekend LOL), too, so it's a small price for speeding up your tasks.

 

Yes it's definitely worth it. You will make your money back many times over with the time that you save.

 

Yes they ARE worth it, not only will you get Extreme potions for combat but you'll also get Super Anti-Fires, Prayers, Special Restores, etc.

You'll use them outside of Slayer as well so they'll help for everyday PvM, Dungeoneering included.

 

From what level? Could I get 89 from 70 for that around that price? Also, what kind of pots woudl you make for that price? (Massive Herb noob, sorry.)

 

Yeah I think you could. It depends on the price of the herbs. I remember seeing a decent guide on the free guides subforum, so you may wanna take a look there.

 

Honeslty just get extreme str and atk pots and then spend the rest on maxed gear. thats what i would do but your choice.
