I'm fairly sure there once was a thread in 2016 or whenever where all ranks were supposed to be redesigned but eventually it was all stopped and nothing happened. Can't seem to find the thread anymore. Not yet sure if we should keep this thread open or just close it already because it's just a postfarm thread over and over again. Change this one and people will start complaining about the others aswell.

 

Support this as i find my rank ugly. Although i already planned to donate more it honestly makes me feel a peasant with my current knowing the £5 rank looks a hell of a lot better

 

There was a thread last year where I believe a few gfx artists made some potential icons. Not 100% sure but I don't think a consensus could be reached on what people wanted so it was denied.

 

Yes youre basically repeating what shin said already. Changing the entirety of the ranks to conform to a more broad range of markets will never work. Too many ranks to change and too many people with different views. This matter, simply changing 1 rank, is much easier and not complicated. It is not some movement that you guys tried 2-3 years ago.

There is plenty of support on this thread for it to be taken seriously. The other ranks are fine as they look good and have iconic items. The point is, a sara sword is not a good item to use nor does it graphically look appealing (as an item and the rank itself).

Trying to reform the site a couple years ago and changing all the ranks is way different than simply updating one rank. There really is not anything to complain about with the other donation ranks unless you want to bring up the "sythe movement" again, which has failed multiple times. It was runescape centered back then and it is even more runescape centered now. Most the other markets are dead and there have been plenty of suggestion threads regarding that. Even a forum change removing many threads is being suggested currently. There is plenty of support on the thread. Easily can make a poll.

 

I think the ranger boots would be a good change. They look really nice. Or maybe a robin hat.

 

The $50 needs a rework because the claws are clipped on the right as well. Support although it's been stated in the past multiple times now I think - iirc Rich or Shin feel that an entire rework of the donation ranks should be done so not much point updating until then.

I'd assume Shin wanted to remake all ranks including miniranks.. see where it goes from there if it ever happens, have staff vote on which picture goes to which donor rank, besides custom of course, support.

I have asked the community to change ALL of the ranks since most don't make any sense. I made a long post with a poll and for the most part, people wanted to see all the ranks changed or updated, but what I have learned is that the higher ups are NOT interested in doing this.

I am willing to start a fund, where people can donate, and we can get moonglare or jason to make new ones for every rank that we can all vote on, but I doubt this would ever happen

 

Change the $100 first.

Some kinda halo would be great idea, atleast in my eyes. Doesnt have to be 25$ rank. Maybe change saradomin sword to staff of light. I would love to see pharaoh's sceptre, uncut onyx (love that dark color). But its just my opinion, nothing else

 

This thread seems to have a lot of support and @Shin has mentioned something about making changes to miniranks and such things.

I will add this to the pending section for an administrators final word as to whether or not this can be done.
