[APPROVED] Create a bot that checks Discord users

This is pretty straight forward, but mainly a request for @Shin. Considering he has the knowledge on creating a whole ShinBot that even has the possibility to check your donor amount - I can only assume the below requested is possible aswell.

I'd like ShinBot to have a command or run itself automatically to check the Discord server for banned users. Of course it has to identify the length of said bans, perhaps even have it check for a DNT or TWC status. Considering staff isn't supposed to permban again, this request might be hard to implement, but to be honest I assume permbans are still being handed out by some.

When people join the Discord server they get a token linked to their Discord username. I'm assuming a bot could be able to check back on that token again, trace it back to a Sythe username link and check if said user is (still) banned or not. Perhaps this is best to be implemented as a command, as I assume it'll consume quite some workload and make the Discord lag perhaps.

To cut it short: My suggestion here is to have Shin/Matthew add a command to the Shinbot (usable only for admins) to have it check the entire Discord server for banned users, to ensure any wrongdoing can be prevented, aswell as making sure everything is still in order.

 

Richard would need to add functionality to the API so I can easily and quickly cross reference the data.

I could write something to scrape the data in the interim, but that would be incredibly inefficient comparatively.

 

Support, seems like an easy suggestion. I could add this if needed
