    I'd like to say. this suggestion wouldn't affect me at all, all the accounts I have sold have a 3-month warranty on them!

    I am going to bring a quote from here: Changes and clarifications to the account market

    My suggestion is to clear the seller of accounts regardless of TOS after 2 years of any accountability towards accounts, to put it simply, this will only affect people with little knowledge of the market at the start of Sythe's journey. I think it a bit absurd to hold someone accountable for account 5 years down the line because of their lack of knowledge of the market or person who has fully read the rules didn't/ forgot to ask someone to agree to tos etc, I am aware this question would affect like 0.3% of the market if not less!

    There is also the issue of Jagex getting worse about accepting recoveries. I have failed three times to recover account I am the original owner of with full detail. Default of 2+ years as no recovery responsibility then merchant can sell <2 years of protection if they want seems good I support my friend :)

    So basically, instead of saying "any accounts that were sold prior to June 19th, 2017 (2 years ago today)"

    we'd now be saying "any accounts that were sold prior to June 19th, 2017 (2 years ago today)," which seems fine by me

    Exactly super sir, it means any accounts that sold prior to 2 years from the sale date could be closed report straight away as well :D

    Although I am biased as I sell accounts myself, I do agree with the suggestion.

    Fortunately this problem rarely occur, but in the event it does it's very annoying to deal with. By default, I don't think you could offer a lifetime support for this. Let's say I want to retire from Sythe. However, ocasionally someone forgets their account details or gets their account locked. Would I still be liable to help them out, even 5 years after retiring the account business? 2 years seems like a fair amount of time to me.

    I'm also biased as an account seller, and this rule would only stand to benefit me; this specific situation has never come up for me, however, I can see how it might be frustrating to some sellers as they just simply may not be able to recover, even if they are the original owners.
    Things like moving (as we all know, your IP you send the recovery from is very important) or simply misremembering will drastically effect your ability to recover an account, and the further in time you get from the sale, the more likely it is one of those two things will happen.
