[APPROVED] Angelic Rank

Simple.
Remove Bogdan's rank as he is not dead. I remember always being confused about the rank due to the fact a very «alive» person having it.

A good update would be linking funranks (atleast the angelic one) to its respective threads- with a brief explanation of what the rank actually means

I do see how this is confusing and would usually agree with @Hex

But in this case, Bogdan and others already have the rank...

I think in the future it should only be given to those who pass or maybe to someone who’s great friend as passed or something, and we should replace Bogdans angelic with something else if it real becomes that much of issue, but so far idk anyone who has complained about it so far

 

Yah, I was mistaken and thought the Angelic rank were a funrank meant for dead people initially. So I was unsure of as why Bogdan had one.

However, I do still think the rank should be unique in a sense that dead people are given the rank.

Imo a) only dead people should have it
b) members/staff who put a lot of time and effort into this community should have one

I don't think a specific new rank is necessary. Jon has Cancer Warrior and others have Angelic amongst other ranks we already have on Sythe. Fun ranks are given at Admin discretion and chances are it won't be given out again to anyone unless they do pass, however Alteranz for example designed the rank and people like Bogdan, Frenzy, & Shoop received the rank prior to it being given to those who pass.

But sure, if you guys come up with a good rank for those who pass, I don't see an issue with implementing it either. Come up with something and I'll pass it on to Richard & see what he thinks as that's ultimately who will decide.

 

I assume n4no, jon & other members that have the angelic rank due to passing would be keeping it, even if we were to implement a new rank? Because if that is the case, this would just cause even more confusion.

 

Support, should only be given to members of the community that have passed away. It'd give every other user on this forum a reason for their inactivity since their passing.

 

Yeah shouldn't strip the fun ranks from people who obtained it prior just because the meaning changed through the years. A new one is a good idea and staff can make a new thread for ideas or something.


Also I dont see why Bogdan has angelic. hes actually the most toxic person on sythe lol.

No, we wouldn't be removing the rank from anyone but if you guys want to implement a new one and Richard actually approved it, we could move fwd from there. Honestly just take the time to get something made and PM me.

the real problem here is that angelic is a better and more meaningful minirank for those who have passed specifically. Making a new one seems a little difficult since death often has to do with religion and there are no international symbols for death of friends. There are "ribbons", but they tend to be much more specific to cancer and what not. maybe a grfx person from the community can make one

 

Looks like we will be getting a "Heavenly" fun rank made and changes will be made as is necessary.
