Is account buying on PlayerAutctions safe?

I know buying gold on PA is fairly safe, however, I found an account I'd like to buy on there, but am wondering how safe it is to buy on PA? I know any account is recoverable, but PA offers money-back guarantee safety for bought accounts, how true is that?

The seller of the account has a good feedback rating, however, most are from purchasing gold/accounts, only 3 reviews from selling accounts.

It's true if they do it, but they're notorious for not holding up that end of things when it comes to account sales. You also don't know who's selling the account... if it's a serial scammer you're going to lose the time/effort/money you put into the account even if you manage to get a refund from PA. @OP, for account trading, there is no safer option (to my knowledge) than PA.

The percentage of RS account orders which experience any kind of issues falls at 7%. I would recommend opting into the insurance program if you do not know the seller personally.

I've heard from others here on Sythe, that game account reclamations outside of PA can be upwards of 90%.

Our reward rate for insurance claims is around 60%. Generally, these are the three main reasons a person might not get awarded:

1. They have a suspicious trading history, or risk flags, or have failed link analysis with other accounts (and therefore suspected of collusion).
2. Something during the investigation points to a loss of the account, not resulting from the seller's actions
3. They simply fail to respond to us during the claim investigation. (The vast majority)

My greatest recommendation when buying an account is to communicate with the seller via the onsite message system, especially if they do not have an established trading history. And secondly, be sure to respond to emails from the game account reclamation specialist who is helping you.

The notoriety I see is an "A" classification by the Business Consumer Alliance, over 400 organic reviews on trust link, and the same on sitejabber.

People are smarter here on Sythe than to fall for overstatements regarding PA's "notoriety" (which, granted may have been true a few years ago, but all that's changed since I took over in 2013). I have lost count as to how many people here have been personally assisted with problem orders, and so if people start spouting "notorious" even against all evidence, then I begin to wonder if PA having an official presence here aimed at engaging and assisting the community is worth it. :love:

I will allow an admission of exaggeration if this is the case here. This is of course, the inter webs, and making mountains of molehills can be easily & accidentally done. Our desire is to help, not be discouraged by net-hyperbole. Let's keep it to a minimum.

If i buy an account, I plan on waiting about a month before i begin to transfer my wealth to it. If about a month later I have transferred wealth to the account and it is later recovered, would I get reimbursed for the wealth on the account? (assuming i can prove it was on there) or just be SOL?

 

The amount of complaints I've seen about buying on PA, personally I would never go there. I believe you need to pay extra for insurance anyway

 

Nope in my opinion. This has nothing to do about losing my money PA btw, but I got an account with recoveries on, even when they supposedly checked that...

Although that happened, I didn't complain about it which I should have, but it was a stupid mistake on my part.

However, I would recommend buying accounts from trusted sellers, whether or not on playerauctions or here, after all playerauctions are just hosting these players, they can't do much if someone decides to scam

 

Just make sure you buy from a good seller check their feedback. You should be okay then.

 

Nope zero chance its bullshit lost 200$ and he seller had 99% feedback with high rating its all a scam they recover the accounts wait a month resell and recovers. Buy with caution
