I know accounts are recoverable at all times, just want to know. What happens if an account has been recovered. Will you 100% get your payment back? Ofcourse providing all proof of recovery.

Or this support lacking that much that its not worth it?

Thanks

You would need to show evidence that it was recovered and they would verify it, they would then contact the seller about it, i'm not sure about it but i guess so.

I believe you just get a credited amount to buy a new account.

Make sure you buy an account with Insurance. It costs around $5 more, but you're guaranteed your money back.

Always make sure the original owner is trusted.

Not true.

most of the time its legit

Most of the time it isn't legit... If you buy from someone with very, very high feedbacks, it reduces your chance of it being recovered. It isn't uncommon for accounts to be recovered months later, and someone loses all the gold, items, and stats they put on the account.

You can always get the account recovered. PA should give you the money back as they claim, but make sure to buy an account from someone with high FB.

I'll just chime in here super quick.

Generally speaking, 97% of our orders are successfully completed with both parties leaving positive feedback for each other. The remaining 3% of failures are made up of a combination of; order cancellations, no stock, miscommunication, unauthorized payments, manual review failures, etc. etc.

In reality, our actual fraud loss floats between 02% - 0.4% which is good considering the thousands of orders we process each week.

The fact of the matter is however, that there is still that small percentage that exists of users who get negatively impacted by unsuccessful orders. And it disappoints me to say, that the most troublesome market at this point, is in fact Runescape accounts (bear in mind, this is still very few on a monthly basis).

I am currently in the process of giving serious thought to closing down the RS game accounts market. While, I know this would suck for a lot of you, the fact of the matter is our system for RS accounts is imperfect. And no matter how good some people may say it is, I still have people around the web saying stuff like this:

Most of the time it isn't legit...

False perceptions like this is damaging to our business model which already exists on excruciatingly thin gross revenue margins (we do intact, lose money on every order below $60 due to fixed costs associated with security and fraud prevention). And so, if I wanted to judge what would be priority for the overall health of PA as a business, I would likely need to do what I can to maximally reduce the amount of instances where displeased but vocal customers express their less than ideal experiences. What I want is for everyone to have great experiences on PA, and what I want even more than that, is for the experience to be SO great, that we would in fact have a greater number of "trading enthusiasts" being more vocal than the ones who do not have good experiences.

For RS game accounts, we are not there yet, and I recognize this due to some critical and good feedback from members of the RS (and sythe community). I actually do have ways of making RS game account trade far more secure, but they would unfortunately require an increase in resource capacity for these orders, and there are unfortunately other items on my agenda which are prioritized ahead of this (like beefing up our CS).

So if you want to do game account trade on PA, you can for the time being, but it may not be supported for much longer. And while this may sound like a horror post, reality is quite the opposite, that the majority of our RS trades occur without incident. But I want to be operating at legendary levels, that's our goal.

In the mean time, I do recommend purchasing insurance. Although, this option is not available for all accounts, nor for all members. Insurance is usually rewarded, unless we spot something that indicates loss of the account was due to the buyer's fault. I should likely post a guide to buyers on sythe, on how they can avoid getting action taken against their accounts, most of it is easily avoided.

Wow, this is too long. Hope this helps

Could you either post a reply how costs for security and fraud prevention could be this high or PM me?

Atm we use a algorithm the prevent suspicious payment, this is free once build. Then we use an automated voip call system which costs $0.42 each order, in case of a refund Paypal holds the $.30 per transaction fee. If I'm correct you can screen a transaction for 42ct, in case of a refund it will cost you 72ct. As of my knowledge you guys take 10% (hm.. actually 9.99%) of the vendor and perhaps a for Paypal over 4% from the consumer while you're for sure in the 1.9% fee schedule. This all is about 12% of whole payment.

In my approximation you start making profit after $3.50 per order. The $56.50 gab could only be possible if you have a 1:78 successful payment ratio which seems a little odd. Please note it's a rough estimate.

Cheers!

EDIT: Changed ratio from 1:188 to 1:78, didn't calculaded in loss of voip call too

But you have to take into account the costs involved with the manual verifying of accounts / Cost of staff / Costs of running Player Guardian.

You may be running your own algorithm but your the SELLER not the middle man like PA. You as the Seller can guarantee 0% fraud on your side, where as PA cannot.

The PA system is to provide both parties a safe environment to trade, hence the feedback system, all the verification processes. And the same with the buyers etc etc...
