Account sharing/Locked.

Well for a year now I've been sharing an account with someone and today we got our account locked because I signed on at my grandparents house.

I'd also like to add that the person I share with lives on the other side of the world and this is the first time this has happened in a year.

My guess is they have a script that locks your account after it sees three consecutive IPs.

Any other theories on how they can tell or ways to avoid this from happening again?

 

Send them a message and explain the problem, they might be able to add that ip to your account login list.

 

i agree with mod shafiq.
get it unlocked by telling all details, and tell them you was at your grandmas house they will most likely add that to ip list to.

and, just a tip, it's time based for if and account gets locked.
ex. if your logged in, and then u logg out and your mate on the other side of the world instantly logg in, it will most likely get banned. try waiting like 10-30 mins before eachother log in.

 

How do you know they have an account login list?

 

Well, it would be incredibly stupid to have a rule for Account Sharing if they didnt; It would be stupid to show your IP at the top of every login if they didnt.

They would need to log it to show it on login wouldnt they? :laugh:

 

I meant a list that allows certain IP's on the account without getting it locked, someone said jagex has one.

 

They should considering their computer system is monitoring 24/7. Just like when you get phished, your account will get locked or someone sets new recovers or changes passes.

 

its just dumb jagex r assholes it shouldnt even be a rule its so dumb liek for all they fucken know u can go to like 10 different places in a day and log onto runescape its a fucken addictive game and they made it that way its the dumbest rule ever
