Acc Details

This may be in the wrong section but i have a question about buying an account. I recently bought an acc that was a 90/90/90 and the seller refuses to give me recovery details? Why would a seller not give you the recovery details if your spending alot of money on the account??? they could just recover the account on your and make double the money?

 

As we all know it’s buy at your own risk. Even if he gave you that info he could still possibly recover. If he was a reputable seller I think you’ll be okay.

 

Accounts are buy at your own risk almost 100% of the time.

The original owner can always recover the account.

I would never purchase an account if the recovery details were not provided.

I would open up a scam report & demand a refund if the details are not supplied to me.

 

This was a nightmare zone account a 90/90/90 he said the login email is fake and nobody has access to it and he won’t give me the recovery questions. So I just find it weird.

 

I would open up a report against someone like that.

They would probably get a TWC (Trade With Caution) for hosting a bad trade on the market or poor trading practice.

It is poor trading practice to give someone an account without any information to it.

 

I get asked this a lot when selling accounts and am confused with the hole recovery question thing. I havnt had to set recoveries in runescape since like 2010. I create accounts with a fake email and never register 1 (when purpose is to sell). What else would I be able to provide the buyer other then the creation ip?

 

I personally didn’t even know recovery questions on rs still existed lol. I thought the whole email and authenticator took over that stuff.

 

just creation ip and stuff they ask you when you dont have access to email.

 

why would you buy it knowing he wouldn't give it to you, or did you buy it with the agreement he would than he refused after payment?

 

in the terms he said he would give me all the info i need to secure the acc, but then i asked for recovery he said no big acc company gives out the recovery answers this was after he already had my money

 

You should use Tribot and the NMZ script to make your own account. Will cost less and takes no effort.

 

If he promised to give you all the info you need for the account then you should open up a scam report. Next time if you buy an account make sure to specifically ask if they provide the recovery details.

The reason why recoveries aren't provided is due to possibility of scam by the reseller. Also, I can guarantee in almost all of the cases that recoveries provided are fake, and random gibberish by the seller.

 

yeah any legit seller would be more than happy to provide the recovery questions without even being asked for them.

 

What seller? if he is legit and has vouches i wouldn't worry that much.

I dont know if i really want to bash the company publicly. ive reached out to some people that sell accounts but they havent gotten back to me about it. Anyone know any well vouched account sellers i could talk with??

 

I would suggest using normal Emails, not fake ones.

When a recovery quest is done, things that are important are:
- First Password
- Creation Date
- Email given to Jagex matching the Email to the account
- Recovery questions (if any)
- Registered Email (if one)

Also, it's nice to supply account buyers with such information like how membership was paid for, IP address of creation, or at least
the internet provider, etc.

 

So how do you think i go about getting him to give me those?? I've asked like 5 times he told me no because if i use the account to scam which i wouldn't do but if i did it could come back on him as a company. Which doesn't make much sense to me because if he were a "real" company then the account wouldnt belong to him after the purchase. I paid $130 for the account so i should be entitled to the recovery info in my eyes. He did his part and I did mine he should part ways with the account. I bought it, im not renting it. In his terms of service, it clearly states that that i would be given the info needed to secure the account. which has not fully been given to me.

 

Open up a scam report in the 'report a scammer' section.

Open up the report stating you want the account information, or a refund.
