About to sell 6800m: Advice?

Hiiii guys.

There will always be a sense of insecurity and uncomfortability when selling RSGP. In my more ignorant days, I was chargedback $750 for the 1bill i sent a customer. In hindsight, it seems so obvious that this person was a scammer: he offered .75/mill; went first; didn't care about his money.

Now, upon becoming more educated about it, avoiding chargebacks seems simple enough. If you haven't read the sticky about trading on Paypal, located on the "Runescape Markets" general forum, I highly urge you to do so.

That being said, I hope to have a better experience selling gold. I'm not a mercher; I made the money myself. I don't wish to sell to merchers (they make a fair amount of money for doing nothing), but it's inevitable.

Some technical advice on selling money would be greatly appreciated:

how much should i start selling for (considering i have 3 vouches, am not trusted, etc.).

What is your favorite means of selling (western union, paypal (lol), irl trading, money brookers, PA, etc) and why?

If you're not going to sell to bulk buyers, you're not going to want to sell through PayPal at all. Try just using WU and selling just a few cents below the resellers' prices using a middle man.

 

Price depends on payment method. Use PA or WU for the safest trading.

No but seriously either use pa or wu, but always use a mm for WU. Also, if you have some left over id be willing to buy through wu for a very fair price, add my msn [email protected]

No matter what, use an mm. IMPOSTERS ARE EVERYWHERE!!

As for the offers for buying my gold: I'll probably start up a thread by tmrw. But there's a bit of a snag for you merchers/buyers. I'm only going to be selling up to 20m for awhile. You know, to accumulate vouches, emphasize that i want to be a perpetual seller, etc.

Going to start selling at .55c/mill though; look out for that!

We haven't received any disputes on any payments in a while, hopefully we don't get any in the future, but it will most likely happen. I feel that it is worth the volume of sales you'll be getting though. Just learn to control who you trade with.

If you don't feel like going through all the hassle, Player Auctions is the way to go, it's just $0.99 + 9.99% fee per transaction.

 

always ask for a pm before you trade with anyone! Ive been scammed countless times by imposters such as n4no and busta.

 

PA is the way to go, unless your selling to people with 50+ quality vouches, not vouch, trained me level 3-50 range

 

youre cleaned, so it doesnt matter L0L!

 

sell in bulk to like video or viou or h1j or rs2pleasant or rsprod or someone well known.... the slightly less profit is well worth the safety....

 

wu is the safest way atm

 

i don't know much about WU, it seems uncharchable right? i so, use it
or use an OMM

 

If you want a trusted trade and not minding lower prices: Sell to Viou/r2p/someone like that with 500+ vouches

If you want a little more money sell to us; but use PA. It's so easy to setup PA.

 

Do not trade to anyone that has a 2012 join date unless they have significant vouches or have handled a lot of trades

with that much money I personally would only sell to one of the big merchers (R2, Nick etc.) I would never sell it to anyone else outside of staff or extremely trusted members.

A word of caution, Players Auction can be charged back as well. Although its more difficult it can still happen. Selling in small quantities is a good idea. If you get scammed/charged back on 20m thats way better than 200m.
