Good and Evil

There is good and evil in every piece of literature that you read. Whether it be indirect, or incessant references to the two. People have different takes on good and evil.

Who are we to say what's good and what's evil? everyone has a different sense of it. Before i continue i want to say I'm not defending Hitlers actions it's just an example.

Hitler killed 6 million Jews, wanting to abolish them from the earth and all others leaving only a supreme race. A majority of Germans at that time supported Hitler whether they of accepted it out of sheer fear, or because they themselves held the same views. Where as Hitler thought that he was right and doing his country a great service, we would say he is wrong. Whose to say he is? What constitutes something to be right and wrong?

We all have opinions and like to say "It becomes a morality issue.". Though i hardly see where morality would come into play considering that it as well is a matter of opinion. Tribes are still sacrificing there own out in jungles and believe it to be right. Murder in cold blood, but they think that they're right.

Americans that read this will understand my next point. Our government feels obligated to help those in need, or take it upon themselves to occupy countries in order to alleviate and defuse any possible problems, we take it upon ourselves to do so. Who is to say we are right? We think we are others don't. Good and Evil is all opinion and based on the person. Though there are some universal evils that a majority can agree on, there are still things that are almost unclear among people.

Maybe I want to start killing people, and convince myself that what I'm doing is good by justifying myself in saying i do it for population control. Where as i see myself as Good many others would say that I'm evil.

What REALLY is Good and Evil?

 

Law is good. Deviant is bad. Without bad, there would be no good.
