Community General.

It's getting pretty dead in there, with the mass of old threads. I suggest all the old threads be moved to the CG archive and the thread moderation be removed.

Just so people can ask questions without a moderator having to approve the questions. It'll be answered much faster. I just answered like 5 threads yesterday that haven't been answered in a while.

It's time to give this section a new, fresh start.

Tell me if this is off-topic, but I would like to add onto your suggestion.

1. Un-sticky the happy birthday thread and (best case scenario) move it to the spam forum, as that is what people do there
2. Sticky the Where did [sythe name] go thread, it is very useful and used all the time.

I agree with both those suggestions Chris, but it's been denied before.

I completely agree with removing moderation. The whole point of the community section is so that the community has a place to talk about the community. Requiring moderation of topics is annoying for members to have to wait for their topic to be seen and it makes it seem like a more moderator section than anything else. Members shouldn't need moderator approval to be able to talk about issues pertaining to the community and anything else about it.

 

I agree with removing moderation. It wouldn't be so bad if it was done within 10-20 minutes but usually you need to wait a few days or message a global.
