Hitting Women

I voted absolutely not but I believe there can be situations where you have to in order to defend yourself but that usually never happens since you can usually just run away and avoid the situation.

 

Only if it was a life and death situation would hitting women be on my agenda. Otherwise, no. Maybe I'd shake 'em up a bit/yell at 'em. But hitting, probably not.

 

im amazed how many people voted it was ok...i mean seriously why would you have to punch a girl? are men really that pathetic that they have to resort to violence instead of using words? woman should not be hit by men. restrained yes...if they are drunk and swinging a knife violence may be used to an extent.

 

If in the situation, and that woman was a man, and you would hit that man, you should be able to hit that woman.

I don't see why women are always trying to be treated equal to men, yet in almost all cases, are treated with a biased opinion.

 

Ill slap the shit out of a bitch if she punches me, or hits me with anything. But never closed fist.

 

If a woman walks up to you with a knife and is probably going to stab you, You'd likely do the logical thing and defend yourself any means necessary. You should never hit anybody under any circumstance, only in self defense.

This is a moral question and depends upon your own personal beliefs.
Legally, you will be charged the same for hitting a woman as you would for hitting a man.
Morally, people are more inclined to sympathize with the woman due to a predisposition to the idea that men should protect women.

Personally, I believe women should not be hit in the majority of situations.

 

I have been in a situation where I had to hit a woman. I refused to go out with this one chick so her and her friends were going to kick my ass. I started getting pounded and said screw it. I punched the only one in front of me as hard as I could and dropped her.

If not it could of been bad for me.

In some situations where something bad is going to happen you should do what ever it takes to survive.

To be serious though I would hit a woman or anyone else if it was absolutely necessary.

 

Are you people forgetting that women have been fighting for years to be EQUAL to men so why are we now talking about them as lessers?

So you're saying that it's fine for women to hit men, yet we're not allowed to hit back? How does that make any sense at all? Women may be weaker than men, but I wouldn't let a woman strike me without repercussions just as I wouldn't allow a man to do the same.

Plus, nobody voted that hitting a woman was right. The vote was "Absolutely Not" or "If the situation warrants it". That situation, at least for me, is if they actually hit me. I think I speak for most of the people who voted "If the situation warrants it" when I say that the situation would have to involve the woman becoming violent first.

What's really pathetic is a man who lets anybody, regardless of gender, strike them without striking back.

 

I agreed with you until you mentioned how choosing to not hit back is pathetic. That's a load of bull. Not fighting doesn't always mean you're "weak" or "pathetic". Depending on the situation, not hitting back might be the wiser, and better decision in the long run.

 

What makes you think that men are stronger then men? (That's a bit of a sweeping statement). On average, yes. But there are plenty of women that are stronger then men.

What truely amazes me is most of the people here are talking about women as lesser as previously stated by me. When they have been trying for years upon years to been seen as equals so why not bow to their wishes and start threating them a equals. It's about time we did.

I think that if I bring home the check, I have more authority. I don't abuse that, but I believe I have the final say in things.

 

If the situation was initiated by her and she was being violent then yes, I would hit her.

 

This is a tough question, but it really depends on the situation. If a women is trying to kill/severely hurt me, then yes of course I would attack back. Although if a girl slaps me, kicks me, etc I would probably just take it, and defend the hits the best I could.

 

Where exactly did I mention authority... I'm looking but I just can't find it.

Just to clear up a point. I'm a hypocrit, I would never hit a girl or ever treat them as equal IN A FIGHT. Unless she was obviously trying to kill me, although I can't ever see that happening.
