Hitting Women

You can hit back, but if the beat the shit out of you and you fought back, you would look pretty bad.

 

In my honest opinion, men should be able to shit on woman if they don't obey by the mans decision. So yeah, I do think men should be able to whack women.

Of course hitting women is wrong, a man has a much more masculine body which would be overpowered against a women and therefore she would not be able to defend herself too well. Hitting anyone is not right to be honest, it is still cruelty and harm.

 

I would just hold the lady's arms so she cannot continue her assault while I would tell her not to put her hands on me again. If it escalates from there, I'd just threaten to charge her. I don't like it when men hit woman, I disrespect that so much even when your defenseless to harmless things such as hands. If she was using a harmful weapon, then that's a whole other story.

 

There is a point when the woman is crossing the line.

 

Slap = Ignore
Punch = Go away / Push her back

Weapon = Different ball game. I feel if a woman is threatening you with a weapon, that is it alright to "hit" her to save yourself.

 

Never hit a women, why would you ever want to disrespect the thing that gives you sex. lol!

 

I've been in a situation similar to the woman - man physical arguing.

This friend (female)of my girl friend was jealous and drunk of me hanging with my girlfriend. She grabbed my hair and swung my head in a circular motion I pushed her back to free myself and tried to leave. She jumped in front of the door and blocked it and said fight me and when i put my hands up in a non threatening way and tried to leave she shouted 'DON'T YOU PUT YOUR HANDS ON ME!". I backed up and another guy thankfully wrapped his arms around her whole body and pulled her out of the way and I walked out.

I didn't hit her because this was the first time I had met her and she is a woman, and you have to think how physical violence would escalate the situation.

1. I was the new guy there, they would all have taken her side if I slapped the shit out of her.
2. She was closer to my girlfriend the I was at the time as we were not dating.
3. 3 dudes my size were her friends and would have probably beat the crap out of me . ( Mainly cause they were jealous too).

But the situation played out nicely. She apologized, I thanked the guy that subdued her. That bitch and my now girlfriend are no longer friends. And the three guys and my girlfriend are no longer friends. I won in the end. ANd I didn't even throw a punch.

Sometimes taking the high road does pan out well. My girlfriend and I are closer then ever, with no one standing in our way.

EDT: If i could go back and do it all over again, I would like to think i would slap shit out of that crazy bitch and walk out. But I doubt I would.

That's true, I meant like it's socially acceptable for a woman to hit a man. I think a woman doesn't have to think twice about hitting a man because there is next to no chance that anything will happen to her because of it. If a man was to hit a woman he better think twice, because he can very well end up in much deeper trouble.
I don't have a source for you here either, but it's fairly obvious this is true.

I read an article about it in Macleans a few months ago. I can't seem to find it now. It's very easy to see this in real life though, I can see it in my own family. My sister has been told her whole life that she needs to go to university and get a good job, etc.
Not that that's a bad thing, but she's not planning on becoming a house wife. A lot of the girls around here are being really pushed into getting a great education and trying to get great jobs. It's not like people are telling boys to sit back, but I've hardly ever been pushed into that sort of thing, it's really stressed a lot less.
An example of boys being taught to share the power would be how a girl is allowed to play on the boys hockey team, like I said earlier.

I was talking about youth sports there. Almost anywhere else I agree with you. If I were a boss and I had to choose between a man and a woman where the woman is even a slightly better worker/whatever I'm looking for, I'm choosing her.
The sports thing is a bit unfair though. Let's say you're trying out for a BOYS hockey team when suddenly a girl tries out for the team and is good enough to make it. What happens to the boy that would have otherwise made the team in her place? Does he play on the next best team? What if the next best team happens to be a girl's team? Does he play on that team? I really doubt it. So now the boy is playing a level far down where he doesn't have as good competition and can't develop his skills as well as he would have at the higher level. Meanwhile the girls team is unaffected, and better yet there is an extra spot for another girl to join and get even better, causing it even harder for the boy to get back to that higher-level boys team.

 

If a women slaps me I'd slap her back, if she hit me I'd hit her back. Sure physically they are less strong, but if they start behaving in the manner they reject it's fair game.

 

It's not right to hit a woman AT ALL unless she is like a huge woman who works out and is like unattractive because of how built she is xD.

Reason being, men are naturally bigger and stronger than women, your taking advantage of your strength over hers.

Would I hit a woman? No. The only way that would even be considered is if she's literally trying to stab me with a knife.

Men, in general - not to be sexist but this is technically true, are strong in a build sense. Men are more muscular, have bigger frames, square shoulders, can hold more muscle, etc. We can overpower women easily for the most part just based on those factors.

Also it's a respect thing, it's not that we're not treating women equal or not equal, it's just a general societal thing. It's morals, ethics, and common sense combined. What good does hitting a women get you, honestly. She slaps you or punches you, fine. You hit her, and break her face - which I have seen before. Some girl hit a guy, bloody nose. He hit her back, broke her jaw and nose.

I don't know, my dad is one of those oldschool, respect and treat women well type of guys - maybe it's just me. But still regardless, I never would for the most part.

Secondly we still look at women women with more respect than we did back in the Greco-Roman era's; Medieval ages, 1800's, 1900's, etc. I mean what's left? The army, I think women can't have a combat assignment - or at least on the front lines as an infantry soldier. I don't really see much else of an equality problem. So what if it's frowned upon to hit a women - it's frowned upon to hit/beat the shit out of anyone, women or man - unless lawfully in regards to self defense.

If a man fights back then the woman is defenceless. Restrain her. If she leaves marks on you then she's just as liable as you would be if you left marks on her. The law is fair.

 

Now mind you if both a man and a woman get into a physical altercation and both subjects have marks then the man is liable in most cases. Just restrain, easy enough, or should be if you're not weak sauce.

 

If she slaps me, once or twice, I won't do anything, but if it's several consecutive hits, most likely with the intent to beat the fuck out of me, I will hit her back until she stops

You might want to clarify the title, I thought this was about hitting on women at the beginning
