    What's Wrong?

I'll try to keep this short and simple. For the longest time now, I've been feeling a bit odd. I constantly have this tightening feeling in my stomach and I've started to skip meals. I have also noticed my heart rate speeds up often and I have cold chills constantly. Because I get out of school so early, I usually have nothing to do/no one to hang out with so I'll come home and either sit or sleep. On occasion, someone will come hang out with me during the time I'm out of school (They're graduated) and I'll feel alright for awhile and then want to return home.

I don't have the strange feelings at school, around my girlfriend, friends, or usually after a certain point in the day (when my mom gets home).

I also have been having various mood swings. One point, I'll be a happy, out-going talkative kid and then the next, I just feel angry, sad, etc.

My home life isn't that great and though there has always been tension between my dad and I, it's been getting noticeably worse.

I don't know what to do, what medicine to get on, I don't have too many options here.

Edit: Before this thread is spammed with "Depression" comments, I'm not necessarily depressed. I have no reason to be. I've never contemplated suicide and wouldn't, etc etc.

    What's Wrong?

Depression doesn't necessarily mean you want to kill yourself or that anything in particular is going wrong in your life. Sometimes it just happens to people, and maybe it has appeared for you.
This is an issue for a doctor rather than Sythe in any case. You should see a psychiatrist.

It's also possible that the physical symptoms you described first are unrelated and are due to something else, and a doctor should be able to shed some more light there.

    What's Wrong?

Sounds a bit like anxiety. Look more into that. I think the mood swings would be normal for people who aren't adults yet.

    What's Wrong?

    Are you taking any drugs/medication?

You might just be fed up with your life. I suggest trying to patch things up with your father. May I ask why you're not on good terms with him? You also might be lonely. You don't get that weird feeling at school or when you're around people. It could be loneliness. Do you have any brothers or sisters who you're close to at home?

    What's Wrong?

A sure sign of anxiety, or you are on some drugs.

    What's Wrong?

My father and I, how do I even put this into words... We're like opposite attractions when it comes to, well, everything. He's bullheaded and belligerent, so am I. It doesn't mix. You can only imagine the fights that happen around here.

That's the thing. I'm very social and outgoing. I'm not shy in the least bit and have more friends than I can talk to. Lol.

As for the drugs, I used to be addicted to pain killers and amphetamines (and Marijuana, but don't count that lol.). However, I've been clean for nearly... 7 months now?

Also, I looked up on anxiety and sure enough I have a lot of the listed symptoms. I'm going to talk with my mom tomorrow about all of this and take it from there.

It is good that you don't feel out of place where most people do, school/relationships/etc.

The problem maybe that you are bottling up your stresses and worries and when it pops you get those sudden mood swings.

It may seem hard to agree with what your dad says and thinks, but it really is important that you reconnect with him and get some bonding happening.

You shouldn't be like this forever so might as well try to fix it now.

If you manage to get along with your dad again (if you ever had at one point) I am sure that you will feel much better.

Medicines/drugs that damper feelings of sadness/forlornness are only temporary so I don't think you should go down that alley, and good for you on being clean for 7 months!

I know how hard it is to find a remedy for your situation, but I hope this helped.
