Paypal question

Do I need a credit card if I want to receive money to paypal but I just want to have that money online?
and only having the money online, can I make transactions with it?

You don't need anything to receive money, but you need it to send the money if you have a US account. If you have a Canadian premier account you don't need anything to send or get money.

 

What trip said is true. You need no bank verification or credit or debit card linked to receive money, however if you want to send money, you would need to have EITHER a valid card OR bank linked to your PayPal. There are no exceptions unless you are a Canadian or a different foreign country and sign up with a Premier account. If you are US, and happen to sign up with a non-US PayPal, you can receive and send money, but you will get hit with fees (currency conversions+ fees), and have a high chance of being limited which will demolish your balance and account =)

fox trip fagex is right u dont need a verified account to receive but you do need verified bank account to send or pay for stuff

 

I have a paypal account that isn't verified, and I can send up to $3K.

Maybe it's because I made mine a while back

No, as stated in above posts...
Canadian Premier paypal accounts dont need verification to send or recieve money, also they have random spending limits anywehere from 400$-$4000$. Mines $3700.

 

If you're an american. Go buy a mastercard gift card.

Spend the $25 that's on it.. but make sure you leave atleast $.01

Then you can use it to remove the limits on your PayPal account it won't be verified, but you'll have a sending/receiving limit of $2000
