$599 for a revolutionary gaming device sounds extremely cheap to me. The PS3 when it came out cost the same price. Seems stupid to feel pity for people who have a strong chance of making absolute heaps off of their efforts

 

They said they were aiming for 200-400 and they come up with this BS price. Watch PSVR be $400.

Have you seen what the really high end TV's cost when they're released? You can expect to pay $100,000. The next year $60,000. And by the third year $10,000. Its just how technology works.

Too much to spend on a first gen that is likely to have many bugs.

I may purchase when the price goes down and when the product has more reviews.

 

Yeah I'm thinking 2nd gen as well. Price should be much lower and there should be more features.

 

They say it's gunna cost 1.5k with the computer. I would really love to try virtual reality, but I wouldn't pay 1.5k for it. Ill wait a little.

 

The specs they released a while back were pretty high end.

i5 4590
gtx 970 are 2 that come to mind however they might have changed now.

 

If I knew shit about computers I'd probably throw down to get one with proper specs, but I don't even have that, let alone paying the extra for VR. I just really hope one of my friends ends up getting it and I'll just try it out from there

 

Words like 3d, Virtual, Stimulate really attract me. I don't know if i'm only one who thinks 3d movies are still gimmicky. Just few pop up effects and remaining movie in plain 2d. So i would not like to spend on Virtual Headset unless have disposable income. These fancy gadgets and technologies still need development. Just my thoughts. What do you think guys?

 

I'm sorta hoping games arcades around me or something might invest in one. Then I can try it before I ever invest in one.

 

i wouldn't even pay $300 for it three years ago when it was actually "cutting edge", what makes them think i'll pay 2x.

they can either go the money making route from the start or make it super cheap so it catches on and make money in other ways, just like xbox/ps. at $600 i doubt rift will be the popular VR. i can see microsoft and other companies competing, especially if/when sony releases a VR addon for the PS4

 

Just wait for a while and see how the price drops. lol
