2. About Sony Vegas
Sony Vegas is a non-linear editing system originally published by Sonic Foundry, now owned and run by Sony Creative Software. It is designed to be used on Microsoft Windows XP and Vista. In April 2007, Sony along with AMD jointly demonstrated a 64-bit version of Vegas running on 64-bit Vista. Originally developed as an audio editor, it eventually developed into an NLE for video and audio from version 2.0. Vegas features realtime multitrack video and audio editing on unlimited tracks, resolution-independent video sequencing, complex effects and compositing tools, 24-bit/192 kHz audio support, VST and DirectX plug-in effect support, and Dolby Digital surround sound mixing.
The consumer level Sony Vegas Movie Studio version (formerly titled VideoFactory and Screenblast) shares the same interface and underlying code base as the professional Vegas version, but does not include professional features such as advanced compositing tools, while 24p editing support is only official with Sony Vegas Pro. Previously, Vegas could be purchased separately from Sony's DVD and Blu-ray Disc authoring suite, DVD Architect Pro (previously called DVD Architect; DVD Architect Studio is the consumer version), as a package called 'Vegas + DVD'. With the release of Vegas Pro 8.0, both DVD Architect Studio Pro 4.5, Vegas Pro 8.0, as well as Boris FX LTD and Magic Bullet Movie Looks HD are bundled together and may not be purchased individually.

Sony Vegas revolutionized the world of YouTube in late 2007 / early 2008 with its stunning features and designs. Previously the only commonly used Movie Making/Editing software was Windows Movie Maker which came default with all Windows XP packages in 2001. At the time Sony Vegas was released it dramatically improved the standard of all YouTube videos. Sony Vegas has knocked down its extremely inferior competitor Windows Movie Maker as the Top Selling Movie Maker.
3. Requirements
Sony Vegas requires a computer that runs on either Windows XP or Windows Vista; Sony Vegas isn't compatible with Mac OS. Other requirements are
800 MHz processor (2.8 GHz recommended for HDV)
200 MB hard-disk space for program installation
600 MB hard-disk space for optional Sony Sound Series Loops & Samples reference library installation
256 MB RAM (512 MB recommended for HDV)
OHCI compatible i.LINK connector/IEEE-1394DV card (for DV capture and print-to-tape)
Supported CD-Record able drive (for CD burning only)

4. Downloading
If you have purchased your version of Sony Vegas skip this part
Using this method you will be downloading Sony Vegas 8.0 (for free) by using uTorrent and torrents being downloaded from ThePirateBay (unless you have another source).
First you will need to download uTorrent go to

And click on Get uTorrent
Then click save
Then go into program files and make a new folder called utorrent
Then click on the folder and save it
If that doesn't work for some reason saying it's not a valid 32bit application then download it from this link.

Once you have downloaded uTorrent and all open it and it should look like this.
Now you need to get a torrent in there.
Go to http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4511186/Sony_Vegas_Pro_8.0c_Build_260_Keygen[H33T]-MasterUploader and download the torrent there, save it anywhere just make sure you remember where. Once done that open up uTorrent and then go file>add torrent.
Your uTorrent screen should now look like this.
Sony Vegas will take approximately 10 minutes - 2 hours depending on your computer speed. Once it has done highlight the torrent by clicking on it and press DEL(delete). Now go into MyDocuments and uTorrent should have made you a folder called Downloads.
Open that folder and look for another folder called Sony Vegas 8.0c.
Go into the second folder labeled Setup.
There should be only 1 file in that folder, open that. It will now come up with an installer. Save it to C:\Program Files\Sony Setup\Vegas Pro 8.0 (it should be its default save place.
Then click next.
It will now start extracting and after another installer shall come up, the Sony Installer.
After a few minutes this will pop up.
But wait we haven't done yet. We still need a keygen.
You will now notice you will have a Sony Vegas shortcut on your desktop.
VISTA USERS RIGHT CLICK THE KEYGEN FILE AND RUN AS ADMIN OTHERWISE IT WONT WORK!!!!
Go back to that Sony Vegas folder in the downloads folder. Go into the keygen folder then Highlight the keygen file then ctrl+c and then open C:\Program Files\Sony\ Vegas Pro 8.0. Open the keygen file in the Sony\Vegas Pro 8.0 folder A screen will come up along with some pretty sexy music. This is one of the trickiest bits so don't skip ahead and do EXACTLY what I tell you. Click on the small triangle pointing down and select Vegas Pro 8.0 a(I know its c).
Click the button generate a few times, now press patch and then open C:\Program Files\Sony \Vegas Pro 8.0 click on the folder not one of the file. Make sure to not press generate after you have patched it otherwise ur screwed.
DO NOT PATCH THE FOLDER SONY SETUP!
Patch this folder and your all set.
VISTA USERS RIGHT CLICK THE KEYGEN FILE AND RUN AS ADMIN OTHERWISE IT WONT WORK!!!!
DON'T PRESS GENERATE AFTER YOU HAVE PATCHED OTHERWISE YOU WILL FUCK IT UP
Open the sony vegas shortcut make sure you still have keygen up.
Enter your serial number that you got on your keygen.
It will come up with register online or register from another computer. Click register FROM ANOTHER COMPUTER. It will download a random file dont worry about this. Make sure you still have your keygen screen up. Now you can fill your real details in our fake details it doesn't matter. I do real details because they come default with it. When you've done you will need to click on the last box.
Then press next and a screen will come up asking you for an authentication code. Copy that one now make sure you get all of it.
Then wala. You should have a fully registered version of Sony Vegas.
5. Acquiring Footage
The most common software used for Screen Recording is hypercam (2). It is debatedly the best free screen recorder, HyperCam is commonly used to record footage of RuneScape Videos so i will be telling you how to get it. This is like 10 times easier then getting Sony Vegas dont worry.

Click server US 1 even if you dont live in US.
Accept the agreement and download doesnt have to be in a specific spot. When you record something it will automatically make you a file of the video in My Documents call clip1 and onwards.
