Black Market

I believe that anyone below 200-250 Posts should not be able to post in the Black Market.

I see tons of Leechers and some Active Members posting in the Market and end up scamming people. It's quite obvious as well.

Yes, I may be taking this to a bit of an extreme, but that would certainly cut down on all of the Scamming that occurs on Sythe daily.

I think that it would do good for the community. I mean 200 posts is not very much to ask for to grant access to the Black Market.

 

I agree, however I think it should be around 150 - 200 posts. Although, that isn't hard because I have been actively posting on Sythe for only one day and have over 50.

 

Yes it will cut down on scamming but it will intensify spamming by about 200%

Yes, but at scammer make such an attempt to rise their post count, will there not be numerous spammer reports created, in which a Moderator will notice that they joined just one day ago and already have 180 posts? I would hope that a Moderator would catch on to such a thing.

Not everybody is spamming to get his postcount up.
I'm from 2007, with a low postcount. am I not allowed to use the BM?

I'm sure that if there was a requirement to post on the Black market,
that there will be spammed so much, just to get acces to the black market.

Good idea. But then there'd need to be something put in place to stop spamming.

I don't really support because many members who are legit sign up at Sythe because they need a pin, etc...

They are some who aren't scammers, making them get 200 pc would just lead to a lot of spamming.

Maybe making it so leechers cant access the black market would work :/

 

How about they be a member here for 2 weeks and must have a post count of over 25 (or even 50)? There's a couple of webmaster forums I go to, and their webmaster marketplace has requirements similar to that.

 

I would like to ask why doing that is a good idea? If they are scammers they will scam anyways, it will just take them 2 weeks to do it.

 

Well, I'm sure it's better than having them bust their asses off spamming this site trying to accumulate 200-250 posts. Tell me a better method on how to stop these scammers, then.

 

How about instead of post count, you have to be a member of sythe for a month before you can go on the black market.

Saves spamming and scamming.

 

Probably wouldn't work out either, as SuF said, they'll just make multiple accounts and wait for a month, then scam.

 

You will never stop the scammers. Members just need to learn how to not get scammed, and once scamming people one Sythe gets to hard the scammers will leave. :/

 

There should be an 'I'll go first' section open so only the rank leecher and member can post a thread, and only people with 5+ vouches, or 300 posts can actually post in that thread. It would be a good way to get vouches and gain trust if anyone knows what I mean, it's quite hard to explain.

 

My point exactly. Scammers will be scammers, but I'm sure you can make it slightly harder for them to scam by adding the two week & 25 posts rule.
