Watch out for this Scam

[oldscho0l]

Just trying to bring light to this scam . This Yanlili imposter will add you on discord and give you a fake vouch thread for a fake website that looks exactly like Sythe but its Sythe.app not Sythe.org

I know this has been discussed on here but I want this to circulate because its a very efficient scam . His Discord has like 1k members 300 online and its all fake .

I didnt wanna post this in scam reports because theres no way im getting refunded my gold and I dont think posts there are publicly available, I want this somewhere that people can actually see it.

Always check the uid so they match.

Attempted to get me last night as well, and was a mission failed for the scumbag.

He got me today unfortunately

Yep he tried to scam me as well. I was able to cancel the transaction and not lose anything. He also lurks in other Discords of legitimate vendors here on Sythe. I've PM'd the owners of the legitimate Discords that I found him in to let them know he is a member there.

Thanks for bringing light to this, however we do have stickies that provide almost fool proof methods to avoid getting scammed

Best practice: request a Sythe PM, grab their discord UID via discord developer mode, and use a middleman service here (at least one mod is offering this service for free). Also, trade in unrecoverable funds such as crypto or 07 GP to avoid charge back scams

If you follow this blueprint you are literally un-scammable outside of a middleman scam by a mod which is highly unlikely (unless you're buying an account, those are always recoverable and there's nothing you can do against it)

And if you keep your transactions under 300 USD even if you get scammed you can eventually be repaid via community repayment.

Good luck
